Josie Balka: The Viral Poet Who’ll Change How You See Your Body and Friendships

Ever wonder how the poet whose videos you've probably seen on TikTok and Instagram, where millions follow her, turns life's messiest moments into art that heals?

In this soul-stirring episode, Josie Balka joins Sarah Grynberg to share the story behind her celebrated poetry and the deeply personal journey that fuels it. From surviving a near-fatal surgery to learning self-acceptance in a world obsessed with appearances, Josie opens up about love, loss, friendship, and the quiet beauty in the everyday.

You'll learn:
*Why chasing the “perfect body” left Josie emptier than she imagined and what truly filled the gap.
*How to find beauty in the mundane and celebrate the small, unglamorous wins.
*Why friendships, like favourite jeans, can be outgrown and how that can still be a gift.

This episode is a gentle reminder that the things we survive, the people we love (and lose), and the words we choose can shape a life not just worth living but worth remembering.
