Reading the Signs of the Times: Israel
Our road trip is taking us through the signs of the times leading to Jesus' return. The next sign is Israel. It is really the super sign of all of our signs. Let's learn about it!
In 70 AD, Israel was dispersed from the land. The temple was destroyed.
Yet, end times biblical theology shows us that Israel needs to exist for Jesus to return. How could this be if Israel was no longer a nation? Many biblical scholars had a hard time interpreting biblical prophecy for a very long time because of this.
On May 14, 1948, however, everything changed. Israel became a nation again.
Isaiah 66:8 shows us how this would happen. "Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be brought forth in one moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor she brought forth her children."
In a moment, Israel is brought forth as a nation once again. Booming. Powerful. Prosperous.
The kingdom clock started ticking like never before. In fact, there is a group called the Temple Institute who is putting together all of the tools necessary for sacrifices to begin again. Things are definitely lining up.
How do we respond?
Be full of joy over the nation of Israel, rejoicing for her, being exceedingly glad with her, just like Isaiah 66:10 says to do. Believe that Jesus wants to show this nation his fame and his glory!
And keep spreading the Good News of Jesus to the lost, knowing Jesus is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20).
Take heed, friends! Israel is a nation again.
Something significant is happening.
