Darren Dreger (FULL INTERVIEW)

From Barn Burner: Boomer & Pinder with Rhett Warrener The Nation Network

Boomer, Pinder and Rhett are joined by TSN’s Darren Dreger for another edition of The Insider Hotline as the guys bounce around some of the biggest stories happening around the NHL right now. The conversation starts with David Carle and whether the jump to the NHL could finally be coming before shifting into the growing questions surrounding Jared Bednar and the future of the Colorado Avalanche after another brutal playoff exit. Could major changes be coming in Colorado? The guys also get into Kelly McCrimmon and the reaction around Vegas refusing to let Bruce Cassidy interview for the Edmonton job, plus what that says about how aggressive Vegas operates compared to the rest of the league. From there, the conversation shifts to the future of Rasmus Andersson and whether Vegas could already be thinking extension if a move eventually happens. Dreger also shares his thoughts on the NHL Draft, whether Toronto would ever seriously consider moving the first overall pick, Evan Bouchard getting rocked at Worlds, Memorial Cup storylines and the growing CHL/NCAA conversation that could completely reshape junior hockey moving forward.
