BETOOTA TALKS: Farrer By-Election with Independent Candidate Michelle Milthorpe

After the toppling and subsequent retirement of Liberal leader Sussan Ley, the hotly contested byelection in the seat of Farrer is seen as a litmus test for the newly led Liberals, the surging One Nation and the emboldened Nationals.

Clancy and Errol speak to Independent candidate Michelle Milthorpe, who narrowly lost to Ley in the 2025 election. She discusses the issues facing the electorate under previous governments such as water management and lack of medical access, as well as the threat of One Nation, plus her own personal experiences that led her to politics.
