Giants vs. Redskins All-22 Coaches Film Review: Trio of young defenders break out in Week 4 victory

Dan Schneier and Nick Falato break down every aspect of the New York Giants' Week 4 win over the Washington Redskins based on their evaluations from the All22 Coaches film. They start by diving into Pat Shurmur's offensive plan of attack and play-calling mix. The flip over to the defensive side of the ball to touch on the same thing but with James Bettcher. Then, the focus shifts to Daniel Jones with a breakdown of some key plays that showed how he's wise well beyond his years. Of course, full analysis of the two interceptions, why they happened, and how they can be fixed comes next. Dan and Nick breakdown why the Giants are using so much shotgun with Jones and why they still haven't found success on the play-action bootlegs from under center. A deep dive into the offensive line comes next followed by a breakdown of the running backs. Evan Engram is winning quickly and on routes much sooner than he has at any point in his career -- Dan and Nick break down why. Finally, the defense is highlighted by the best performance by a Giants linebacker -- Ryan Connelly -- in over a decade. Nick and Dan follow up with why they believe David Mayo could be a surprise contributor moving forward, a full breakdown of how Oshane Ximines and Dexter Lawrence have made such a massive impact already as rookies, why Grant Haley's run defense is keeping him in the lineup, and why Jabrill Peppers was the player of the game. Finally, Nick and Dan answer questions about pancakes, waffles, the Vikings' game plan for Week 5, and a lot more. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
