79 Years. Zero Filter. One Incredible Life.

What started as a graduate school assignment turned into one of the most meaningful conversations I've ever recorded.

On her 79th birthday, my mom, Marge, sat down with me for an honest conversation about childhood, self-esteem, resilience, marriage, raising a family, divorce, purpose, growing older, and why it's never too late to keep becoming who you're meant to be.

As part of my Human Development coursework, I was asked to interview an older adult. What I got instead was a masterclass in perspective. We talk about overcoming the voices that tell you you're not enough, the people who believed in us when we couldn't believe in ourselves, the lessons that only come with lived experience, and why aging isn't about getting old—it's about getting wiser.
