Would real Hunger Games happen?

Gio has an update about the guy who went kayaking in the Congo Basin. His team has not heard from him in over 16 hours and they are concerned. Gio thinks eventually we will get an actual ‘Hunger Games’. Something sort of like the movie, ‘The Running Man’.
