World Series Preview | Plus WNBA Finals with Carmen Lagala

Hello! It's the podcast that loves sports more than Yandy Diaz loves a handheld tomahawk steak. Today, Katie and the Casualties discuss the revelation that Katie has probably beaten Drake Maye in Rocket League, and a full preview of the 2026 World Series, including a farewell to the Guardians and Josh Can't Dance, a farewell to the Dodgers and Miguel Rojas' cursed cleats, Dodgers fans not showing up for the playoffs, the conspiracy theory that they lost on purpose to save baseball, Dodgers outfielder Alex Call protesting the boob ads, Katie's five least favorite ads of the postseason, the Brewers' first pitch selections, why you shouldn't care about TV ratings, why you should care about having a first-time champion, the matchup of managerial styles, plus all you need to know about the bullpens, the stars, and the vibe guys. Then, comedian Carmen Lagala joins the show [1:27:00] to talk about her induction into the University of Vermont Athletic Hall of Fame, the pain of running an 800-meter competitively, taking home the championship at the 2025 Big Walkowski, her worst waterskiing injury, being a lifelong WNBA fan, sticking with the Liberty since their first mascot, her love of Jonquel Jones and her favorite WNBA players, the discourse about Angel Reese and Angel's dominant Game Two, Ballhalla, Natalie Nakase, Tiffany Hayes, the Valkyries roster, winning an on-court shooting contest at a Liberty game, Katie's pop-a-shot skills, and Jay-Z naming himself as the Super Bowl halftime headliner. And the team wraps with your best e-mails of the week, and an update on Cousin Ollie.
