NO DRAFT PICKS: Ian Cunningham Hired as Falcons GM while Bears Receive No Compensation | CHGO Bears

Chicago Bears Assistant GM Ian Cunningham is leaving the Bears to become the General Manager of the Atlanta Falcons. Due to an unfortunate loophole, the Bears currently WON’T receive any draft pick compensation. The CHGO Bears crew reacts to the news and digs deeper into why the Bears SHOULD be receiving compensatory picks, including statements made by new Falcons President of Football Operations, Matt Ryan. Plus, the Minnesota Vikings have fired GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. The NFC North rivals once tried signing GM Ryan Poles to the same title before hiring Adofo-Mensah instead. Just how fortunate have the Bears been that things played out the way they have? Chicago sports historian Jack Silverstein joins the show to talk Charles “Peanut” Tillman’s Hall of Fame candidacy and Bill Belichick not being a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
