From Cell Bars to CEO - with AG Gregoroff

AG Gregoroff isn't just the founder and CEO of Toehold Flip Flops - heralded as producers of the world's highest quality flip flops - but a living testament to the power of radical transformation. From a troubled childhood and the dark corners of the California penal system to the liberating expanse of the open ocean, AG's story is one of stark contrasts, unbreakable will, and the resolute belief in second chances.

AG unfolds the gritty tales of his past; growing up amidst violence and chaos in Northern San Diego County, his undeserved entanglement with a corrupt police force, and the harrowing experiences within the prison's walls, where his life was dictated by the brutal and racially segregated dynamics of life behind bars. His story takes a turn when, amidst the swirling currents of his misfortune, he discovers scuba diving—a passion that would not only become his escape but a stepping stone to a purpose-driven future.

His eventual collaboration with the US military, teaching underwater survival, introduces AG to a new chapter, one where he not only fights the currents underwater but combats unexpected violence above it, surviving a random hammer attack amid the strife of the COVID-19 pandemic.

AG channeled adversity into ambition, founding Toehold Flip Flops and crafting more than just quality footwear but creating a symbol of unwavering perseverance and premium craftsmanship. AG's story swims through the turbid waters of injustice and trauma, surfacing into a tale that is ultimately triumphant, uplifting, and without a doubt, inspirational.
