Codega's Codex of Curiosities-Something Has Been Standing Over Sleepers for Generations. What Is It Actually After?

From Cult of Conspiracy The Cajun Knight & Raven Lee

Vicky Joy Anderson, author of They Only Come Out at Night: Exposing the Dark Weapon of Sleep Paralysis, joins this episode to unpack a lifetime of paralysis encounters and years of research into the entities people report seeing during them. Vicky lays out the recurring cast of beings behind the phenomenon, from the Hatman to shapeshifting "familiars" wearing the faces of the dead, and makes the case that sleep paralysis, UFO abduction, and cryptid encounters may all be different facets of the same much larger, unexplained picture. This episode is presented by Codega's Codex of Curiosities, a weekly podcast exploring paranormal encounters, UAP phenomena, cryptid sightings, and high-strangeness stories from guests across the world. Vicky's first sleep paralysis memory at age four, and why she believes childhood fear may have opened the door to a lifetime of encounters
Why mainstream and clinical explanations for sleep paralysis routinely fail to account for what experiencers actually describe
The recurring "classic lineup" of sleep paralysis entities, including the Hatman, the Shadowman, and glowing red-eyed figures reported across unrelated cases
"Familiar spirits" that convincingly take on the appearance and voice of deceased loved ones, and how deepfake technology has changed the credibility of that claim
Ry's own account of a floating, black shadow figure with glowing red eyes witnessed at age 17 or 18, and how it compares to Vicky's case files
The case for sleep paralysis, UFO abduction, and cryptid encounters being connected expressions of the same phenomenon rather than separate categories
