Revisiting Lucha Underground Season 1 - Episode 6: The Key
"Dario Cueto owes me ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS..." A special back-to-back Lucha Underground edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast! Last week, we took a look at Episode 5 & the Boyle Heights Street Fight, and this week we're moving on to Episode 5 of Season 1, titled "The Key". Johnny Mundo has had enough of Dario Cueto's shenanigans, and he's decided to take matters into his own hands. Cornering Dario in a bathroom, Mundo lets it be known that he's prepared to kick Dario's ass every time he sees him, which leads to El Jefe begging for him to not, and telling him that he will get him his $100,000 in cash...if he doesn't beat him up. Mundo agrees, but he takes THE KEY around Cueto's neck as insurance. That isn't the last we see of Johnny Mundo on this episode, as later in the night, he comes back out to demand Dario to bring him his money in the ring. Big Ryck gets involved, as well as Prince Puna, and all three men have a combination of fights, until Dario makes an appearance. Dario lets them all know that the $100,000 will be given to the match that can win the main event of next weeks show...IN A LADDER MATCH! But, that's next week; on tonight's episode, we have a main event of Chavo Guerrero Jr. teaming up with overall troublemaker Pentagon Jr. They're teamed up to take on the duo of Sexy Star & Rey Fenix. Son of Havoc is back with Ivelisse, and he has another challenge in front of him in the form of lucha legend, Pimpinela Escarlata! Also, Mil Muertes continues his streak of destruction, as he takes on local California talent, Famous B! All of that, and so much more, on this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
