On The Continent: Atletico's struggles, Cagliari's stunning win, and some glamour at Hertha

We’re back for some more continental conversation with a new episode of On The Continent! With James whisked away to Italy, Andy and Lars are joined by Mark Langdon, football editor of the Racing Post!

After making the obligatory case for Lionel Messi’s defence in light of his sixth Ballon d’Or win, we get stuck into some intriguing La Liga action as Atlético lose to Barcelona - thanks to a goal from the aforementioned Argentine. We discuss the difficulties Diego Simeone faces bedding new players into his specific system and their distinct lack of goals.

We also talk about Lille's impressive run of form, including Jonathan Ikone’s winner against Lyon and an impressive performance from forgotten man Renato Sanches. There's also chat about Cagliari’s mental win over Sampdoria and our Games of the Week!
