Cynthia Gonzalez Part One: Six Days
In September 1991, 25-year-old Cynthia Renee Gonzalez was living in Arlington, Texas, where she was raising a young daughter, navigating changes in her personal life, and working to build an entertainment business of her own. Known to friends and family as Cyndi, she was remembered as outgoing, compassionate, and devoted to the people she loved.
On September 16, Cynthia left her apartment for what was supposed to be a routine business appointment. When she failed to return, her family and friends began searching for answers. As Arlington police investigated her disappearance, troubling questions emerged about her final movements, the circumstances of her appointment, and the evidence left behind.
This episode explores Cynthia's life, the relationships surrounding her, the search that followed her disappearance, and the early homicide investigation. With limited physical evidence and numerous potential leads, detectives faced a difficult task as they worked to determine who was responsible for her murder.
Part one of three.
