Does God Really Know and Love Me? (Psalm 139) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Today we study Psalm 139 and some powerful truths about how well God knows you. There is nowhere you can go to escape His presence or His love. When those truths sink in, they change how we see ourselves, and my prayer is that you walk away knowing how deeply you are loved. "How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand." (Psalm 139:17-18) Questions this episode answers What does Psalm 139 teach about God? Psalm 139 shows that God knows everything about us, is present everywhere, and formed us in the womb. David says God knows when he sits and when he rises and even his words before he speaks. That kind of knowing is not cold. It comes with God's care and His hand guiding us. Can I ever be too far from God? David asks where he could go from God's Spirit and answers that God is there in the heavens, in the depths, and at the far side of the sea. No place, mood, or failure puts you out of His reach. That is a comfort for anyone who feels distant from God. What does it mean to be fearfully and wonderfully made? In Psalm 139:14 David praises God for the way He formed him. It means your life was crafted with care by a wise Creator. Your worth comes from the God who made you and knows you, not from what others think.
