Does God See the Overlooked and Forgotten? (Psalm 9) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Psalm 9 teaches us to praise God in all things, and it also shows us His heart for those who feel overlooked. Today I pray that the things that break God's heart would break ours too. "For the needy will not always be forgotten, Nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever." (Psalm 9:18) Questions this episode answers What is Psalm 9 about? Psalm 9 is a song of thanks for God's justice and rescue. David praises God for defeating his enemies and for being a stronghold for the oppressed. How does God care for the needy? All through Scripture, God shows special care for the poor, the afflicted, and the forgotten. Psalm 9:18 promises that the needy will not always be forgotten. How can my heart break for what breaks God's? Ask God to open your eyes to the people around you who feel unseen. Then look for simple ways to serve, give, and pray for them.
