How Do I Put On the Armor of God? (Ephesians 6:10-18) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

This is a contemplative prayer episode where we meditate on the armor of God in Ephesians 6. We remember that standing firm is not about trying harder, but about trusting God to equip, protect, and strengthen us. (Ephesians 6:10) Questions this episode answers What are the pieces of the armor of God? Ephesians 6:14-17 names the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted with the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Paul also calls us to pray at all times in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18). What does it mean to stand firm in the Lord? Standing firm means staying steady in faith instead of running or giving up. Paul tells us to be strong in the Lord and in His might, not our own. God supplies what we need to hold our ground. Who are Christians fighting against? Ephesians 6:12 says our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness. That reminds us people are not the enemy. We face spiritual resistance with God's armor and with prayer.
