Daily Devo | To Live By Faith (New Testament in a Year, Romans 1:1-32)
In introducing himself to the Roman church community that he has never visited, Paul also introduces the major themes of the good news of Jesus. Paul will address these themes throughout his letter in a way that speaks to the many problems of this mixed community of Jews and Gentiles. Whatever their differences, they are united by their common need for Jesus. We are not made right through our ancestry, our heritage, our morality, or any human effort or achievement. Instead, it is in faith that we find full life in God!

For Reflection:
- How might you explain the good news about Jesus?
- What stands out to you about Paul's description of the gospel?
- Why was Paul eager to share and "not ashamed" of the gospel? In what situations might you be tempted to feel hesitant about your faith?
- What do you think it means to "live by faith" or to find life through faith each day?
- Prayer: Lord, help me to be eager to share and never ashamed of the good news of Jesus.
