The Flagship: Emmanuel Acho weighs in on Texas football, where the Longhorns are headed under Tom Herman

With so much uncertainty leading up to the 2020 College Football season, one thing is for sure for Texas: The Longhorns have a solid QB leading the way, which is often times the difference maker for winning teams. Senior quarterback Sam Ehlinger approaches his final season on the Forty Acres and could be poised to lead his team to the top of the sport in 2020.In this week's episode of The Flagship Podcast, Horns247 columnist Chip Brown and managing editor Taylor Estes break down Ehlinger's trajectory under new offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich and discuss whether or not Ehlinger could surpass one of Yurcich's top QBs during his time at Oklahoma State. The Flagship then welcomes in a very special guest in Longhorn Legend and college football analyst Emmanuel Acho for his take on Texas in 2020 and beyond under head coach Tom Herman. Acho weighs in on how Ehlinger could be key to the Longhorns' success in 2020 and where he believes the program is headed with Herman at the helm. After Acho's exclusive interview, Chip and Taylor bring back the 'Love it or Leave it' segment, when they weigh in on some hot topics surrounding both Texas football and the upcoming 2020 college football season plans, including if the Longhorns will play the season in front of a smaller crowd inside Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium, if this current pandemic could hurt the Longhorns' rival as Oklahoma breaks in a new QB and if Ehlinger could be poised for a monster year under Yurcich's guidance.Catch all of that and much more in this week's episode of The Flagship Podcast. The Flagship Podcast — featuring co-hosts Chip Brown and Taylor Estes with Horns247 publisher Bobby Burton as a frequent contributor — hits the airwaves each Wednesday, and centers around all the latest happenings surrounding the University of Texas and college athletics, with big-name guests joining the show on a weekly basis. The Flagship is available on a multitude of platforms — including iTunes/Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Google Podcasts — so make sure to subscribe to the Horns247 podcast channel on all platforms to have the latest episodes available to you at all times, and head on over to iTunes and give our Horns247 family of podcasts a five-star rating!
