Ian McKinley | Injured at 21, his Italy comeback & life after rugby

Will is joined by former Leinster out-half Ian McKinley to reflect on his journey from retiring at 21 after losing sight in his left eye to eventually playing international rugby for Italy.

Ian discusses the highs and lows of a comeback story that is truly unique in sport.

Rugby on the Indo Sport podcast is sponsored by Energia, who are also supporting the Irish team as they prepare to travel to Japan for the Vision Impaired Rugby World Cup in October. To help raise awareness and funds for the team's journey, Ian McKinley is hosting a 12-Hour Kickathon at Energia Park on Saturday, August 22.

As part of the Kickathon, Energia and Indo Sport are giving a lucky listener the chance to win a private kicking session with Ian.

Whether you're looking to improve your own kicking game, gift a friend or family member, or your local rugby team, this is a unique opportunity to learn from the best, while supporting the Irish Vision Impaired Rugby Team on their journey.
