Strength in Sorrow: Navigating Tisha (9th) B'Av with Compassion and Unity

Why do we, as a Jewish community, still mourn the destruction of a temple that happened over 2,000 years ago? It's not just about missing a building, it's about longing for what that structure represents - a direct connection to our divine source, a beacon guiding our spiritual journey. This episode takes us into the heart of the 9th of Av, a day of profound reflection and mourning, where we discuss the significance of the lost temples and their impact on our faith and identity. We ponder over the unique nature of this deep-rooted tradition that unites us through shared grief and explore how some holidays, like this one, bring us closer to our faith through shared sadness.

In this episode (#210) of the Jewish Inspiration Podcast, Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe shares a few short & sad ideas of inspiration on this powerful day, the 9th of Av. Dedicated in Honor of Dr. Howard Schreiber!
