That Football Show 7/17: Stop Pretending Josh Allen Is Better Than Patrick Mahomes

Matt Verderame and Tucker Franklin dive headfirst into the mid-summer NFL discourse to separate fact from absolute delusion.

The guys break down the internet-breaking, "face-melting" take from Colin Cowherd regarding Lamar Jackson and Bo Nix, questioning how anyone could value a rookie over a multi-time MVP. From there, they tackle the fascinating optics surrounding NFL quarterback PR, exposing why NFL fans and media members continually try to downplay the greatness of Patrick Mahomes.

Backed by a mind-blowing statistic highlighting Mahomes' historic clutch gene in one-possession playoff games, they look at the ongoing fan wars between Chiefs, Bills, and Ravens kingdoms. Finally, Matt brings the heat with an unexpected crossover comparison, giving NBA star Donovan Mitchell "that smoke" to help put the current quarterback debates into perspective.
