Als je het klooster ingaat neem je je lichaam natuurlijk mee en heb je ook kleding nodig. Gerard Mathijsen werd benedictijner monnik in 1958 en heeft qua kleding nogal wat zien veranderen. Hij is benedictijner monnik en voormalig abt van de Sint-Adelbert Abdij in Egmond.
