Christian Horner’s most speculated path back to the pit wall hit a wall. Reports say he pitched a $100M package to Aston Martin for a stake and the CEO role, yet Andy Cowell said there are absolutely no plans for Horner in any capacity. Money wasn't the issue, it was perhaps the potential baggage that came with the man...or are Aston Martin happy with who they've got already.

This moment feels bigger than one job offer. F1 looks to be drifting from the era of celebrity bosses toward engineer led leadership and cleaner power structures. Haas passed, Aston has now passed and Williams kept the nicest version of a maybe.
