Although Daniel Ricciardo's "reputation" took a negative turn while he was with McLaren, he views it as a "blessing in disguise" that he was not allowed to compete in 2023 for the team. Ricciardo intends to rebuild his Formula One career with Red Bull. Daniel Ricciardo experienced a tumultuous time during his stint with McLaren, culminating in his termination in August last year. Although he had a victory at the 2021 Italian Grand Prix, he struggled to find the right car setup and balance, which led to his firing despite having a year left on his contract. After turning down opportunities with Haas and Williams, Ricciardo returned to Red Bull as its third driver. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has been instrumental in helping Ricciardo rediscover his love for the sport and improve his technique. After a brief period of downtime, which included a self-imposed break to rediscover his passion for racing, Ricciardo suffered an injury but is set for a guaranteed seat with AlphaTauri next season. He hopes to work his way back to the top team at Red Bull for 2025.
