UNDERDOGS: Oklahoma State, Baylor Are BIGGEST DARK HORSES In Big 12 After Lopsided Wins?

Baylor Bears thrust themselves into the Big 12 dark horse conversation as Cam Stuart and Drake Toll question whether Deion Sanders’ tenure at Colorado is nearing its end. Can canceling the Big 12 Championship actually benefit the conference, and do Oklahoma State or Baylor have a legitimate shot at sneaking into the playoff picture? With Oklahoma State’s offense looking unstoppable behind Caleb Hawkins and Wyatt Young, and Baylor’s defense stymying Colorado, the hosts outline which teams could suddenly reshape the league hierarchy.

Key discussions include DJ Lagway’s unpredictable play under center, Cincinnati’s surging ground game led by JC French, and growing frustration with how ESPN’s ranking system penalizes Big 12 contenders. With economic impact, team reputation, and playoff odds all in the spotlight, listeners are left to wonder: Is it time for the Big 12 to rethink its route to national relevance, and could this be the year an unexpected contender rises?
