REVENGE: Denver Broncos Defense Aims to STOP Kenneth Walker & Chiefs Offense in AFC West Showdown

The Denver Broncos seek sweet revenge against the Kansas City Chiefs after Kenneth Walker embarrassed Denver’s defense in Week 1. Can the Broncos defense stop Kansas City’s sixth-ranked offense, contain Patrick Mahomes, and reclaim the AFC West lead?

Cody Roark and Sayre Bedinger revisit Denver’s tackling issues in Week 1, Jonathon Cooper’s role against the run, and the pressure needed to disrupt a Chiefs offensive line that has allowed only seven sacks. Bo Nix must avoid Steve Spagnuolo’s early-down blitz packages, improve third-down efficiency, and build better timing with Courtland Sutton. J.K. Dobbins, RJ Harvey, and Jonah Coleman also factor into the matchup, while Marvin Mims gives Denver a major special-teams edge against Kansas City’s struggling return and kicking units. Can Mims flip the field, and will Wil Lutz deliver in the Mile High air?

Cody Roark is a credentialed beat reporter for Mile High Sports and provides boots-on-the-ground coverage of the Broncos daily in person. Sayre Bedinger is one of Broncos Country's longest-tenured voices, writing for Predominantly Orange. Together, they bring Broncos Country the most in-depth and objective coverage of the Denver Broncos every single day, year round.
