Brett Veach’s Hidden STRATEGY—Why Are Kansas City Chiefs Quiet On Offensive Tackle?

Kansas City Chiefs fans are buzzing as GM Brett Veach hints at a bold NFL Draft strategy. Will Kansas City target an edge rusher, wide receiver, or cornerback with their coveted No. 9 pick—or is a surprise move up the board in play to secure a true impact player? The high-stakes debate intensifies as Chris Clark and Ryan Tracy break down Kansas City’s top value positions, the scarcity of first-round talent, and which prospects truly fit Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo’s system. Key issues include the omission of offensive tackle from Veach’s shortlist, how the Chiefs will fill key defensive gaps post-Chris Jones, and whether the front office is masking their true intentions with classic draft smoke screens. Get expert insight on Kansas City’s roster needs, potential trade-up scenarios, and which new prospects could become game-changers for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ championship defense.
