INVESTMENT: Kansas City Chiefs Signal Major SHIFT By Drafting Emmett Johnson as RB2 Overhaul

Kansas City Chiefs invest in Emmett Johnson, raising questions about the future of their running back room. Has Kansas City found the perfect complement to Isaiah Pacheco, or is a new era on the horizon for Andy Reid’s offense? Chris Clark and Ryan Tracy break down the Chiefs’ decision to draft Emmett Johnson, who led the nation in scrimmage yards, and examine how he fits alongside Kenneth Walker and returning backs. The duo discusses Kansas City’s youthful roster transformation, the importance of sustainable depth behind Patrick Mahomes, and whether Johnson can seize the RB2 role by training camp. Key insights include the team’s approach to roster construction, potential snap shares for 2026 and beyond, and the evolving offensive strategy as the Chiefs reload for another Super Bowl run.
