Is Iowa State a Top 2 Team After DOMINATING Baylor at Home? Cyclones Ranked 3rd in Nation After Win

The Iowa State Cyclones defeated the Baylor Bears 74-55 in a Big 12 matchup at Hilton Coliseum on January 4th, 2025. In what was expected to be a close contest between two ranked teams, the Cyclones dominated, never trailing in the game. Iowa State's defense proved to be the difference, stifling a Baylor offense that came into the game as one of the highest-scoring in the Big 12. Key players for the Cyclones included Tamin Lipsey and Keshon Gilbert, who contributed strong performances on both ends of the floor. For the Baylor Bears, they struggled to find offensive rhythm against a tough Iowa State defense. Iowa State, coached by T.J. Otzelberger, executed their game plan effectively, controlling the tempo and limiting Baylor's scoring opportunities. Baylor, under head coach Scott Drew, couldn't overcome the Cyclones' strong defensive pressure. This Big 12 victory showcased the Cyclones' potential and their ability to compete at the highest level in the conference. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
