Florida Gators BIGGEST Areas for Improvement During Bye Week Before Georgia

Florida Gators hit the bye at 5-2, but Jon Sumrall’s squad faces urgent questions about offensive consistency and defensive firepower. Can Florida’s passing game spark downfield, or will protection woes and missed vertical shots continue to stall Jadan Baugh, Tramell Jones, and the Gators’ attacking threats? Brandon Olsen spotlights inconsistent pass protection, run-game strain, and the lack of explosive deep passes—highlighted by missed connections to Eric Singleton Jr. On the defensive front, a resurgent pass rush against Texas has fans optimistic, but is it a turnaround or just a product of Texas’s miscues? Key players like Emeka Ugorji and LJ McCray stand under the microscope as Florida looks ahead to critical SEC matchups. Don’t miss this incisive look at why the Gators’ growth in pass protection, vertical threats, and defensive schemes will decide their 2026 campaign’s trajectory.
