SPECULATION: Don't Be Shocked If The Washington Nationals TRADE Jacob Young For Pitching Help

Washington Nationals weigh a major shake-up- will Gold Glove candidate Jacob Young be the surprise departure? With James Wood, Dylan Crews, and Daylen Lile anchoring a talent-rich outfield, competition for starting spots is fierce, raising questions about the future roles of top prospects and established contributors alike. Host Ryan Clary breaks down Jacob Young’s offensive surge, Dylan Crews’ developmental struggles, and the emergence of Andrew Pinckney and Sam Petersen as legitimate options. The conversation focused on whether the Nationals should flip their outfield depth for much-needed starting pitching, examining player analytics, defensive value, and potential trade returns. Key themes include Washington’s prospect pipeline strength, organizational philosophy under Paul Toboni, and the long-term outlook for the Nationals’ farm system. Will bold offseason moves put the Nationals back on the path to contention?
