Should the Toronto Raptors trade or extend Pascal Siakam? A Deep-Dive w/ Joe Wolfond

In Episode 1551, Sean Woodley is joined by Joe Wolfond (The Score, Pound the Rock) for a deep dive in the Toronto Raptors' looming decision on two-time All-NBA franchise icon Pascal Siakam, and whether it would be more prudent for them to trade him before the NBA Trade Deadline, or extend him to have him continue as a core piece within the Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley-led version of the team. Off the top, Sean and Joe lay out the situation as it stands based on the most recent reporting, and discuss why it's been so disappointing to see the Raptors handle the potential departure of one of the greatest Raptors off all time in such a haphazard way. Next, they take a look at the case for trading him before the Febraury 8th deadline, the financial implications of maxing him out, whether a max deal is out there for him from any team, and the issue of timelines. Lastly, they discuss the not-very-good trade market for Siakam, and why barring a godfather offer that doesn't seem to be out there, the move should probably be to extend Siakam and keep him around -- especially since he seems to be such a nice fit alongside Barnes and Quickley considering their complementary skillsets.
