SHOCKER: Oklahoma Sooners LAND Dallas Cowboys Legend Jason Witten as Tight Ends Coach—A GAME CHANGER? | Oklahoma Sooners Podcast

Oklahoma Sooners score big with Jason Witten’s hire as tight ends coach, igniting excitement about toughness and NFL-caliber development in Norman. Can Witten’s reputation and experience as a high school head coach translate into college recruiting wins and a fierce tight end room for Brent Venables’ squad?

John Miller and Jay Smith dissect Witten’s impact on the Sooners, compare his transition to that of DeMarco Murray, and debate what it will take to elevate Oklahoma’s player development at a national level. The podcast covers missed transfer targets like Owen Long, key portal additions such as Parker Livingstone and E'Marion Harris, and the strategic needs on both sides of the ball—including the hunt for a playmaking “big cheetah” linebacker. With Texas Longhorns’ portal drama and upcoming clashes against powerhouses like Michigan and Georgia, the stage is set for a thrilling 2026 season for Oklahoma football.
