BREAKING -SOURCE: WVU’s Defense Heard the Mestemaker Hype. They’re Taking It Personally

I spoke with two West Virginia players ahead of Saturday night’s showdown with Oklahoma State, and the confidence inside WVU’s locker room is striking. Both believe the Mountaineer defense is ready for its best game yet. They’re confident in Zac Alley’s plan, believe Chams Diagne’s size could matter on the perimeter, and are tired of hearing that Drew Mestemaker is going to throw for a million yards against them. But Oklahoma State has earned the hype. Mestemaker and the Cowboys stunned Oregon, and their offense presents the biggest challenge WVU’s defense has faced this season. The Mountaineer offensive line knows it needs its best performance, too. So which side gets to set the story Saturday night: Oklahoma State’s explosive offense or a WVU defense determined to change its reputation? Let’s get into what I heard, the matchups I’m watching, and what it could mean for this game in Morgantown.
