UPDATE- WVU Football Stock Watch: Haastrup, Aisosa and “The Thief” Are Rising!
WVU football has completed its second major scrimmage of fall camp, and the Mountaineers’ depth chart is beginning to take shape. In this episode, we break down our complete projected WVU offensive depth chart, including the quarterback battle between Michael Hawkins Jr. and Scotty Fox, the running back rotation behind Cam Cook, TaRon Francis’ rise at receiver, the developing tight-end competition and every position along the offensive line. Then, we turn to the defense and examine the latest movement at linebacker, EDGE, cornerback, nickel and safety. Cam Torbor has emerged as a potential breakout starter, Tobi Haastrup is beginning to turn his elite physical tools into production, and Jaire “The Thief” Rawlison has climbed into a major role in the cornerback rotation. Finally, we reveal the biggest WVU stock risers of fall camp—including Haastrup, Rawlison, Josh Aisosa, TaRon Francis, Josh Sapp, Kade Bush and several young Mountaineers forcing their way onto the depth chart. This is not WVU’s official Week 1 depth chart. It is our complete working projection based on scrimmage information, coaching comments, camp reports and everything we have tracked throughout August. Who has made the biggest leap? Which position battle concerns you the most? Let me know your projected starters in the comments!
