Austin Slater saying he was the Chicago White Sox's top free-agent target ruined a good move

Austin Slater's signing was not a splash free agency signing but a sound addition to the Chicago White Sox. His saying in his introductory press conference that the front office told him he was their top free-agent target furthers a narrative that the Sox are not willing to spend much in free agency to improve the club. Host Todd Welter explains how the fan base is already weary of this franchise and this just furthers fan's frustrations. Then Todd discusses his fears of what the team will do before the non-tender deadline this weekend. Finally, it is a Top 5 Friday that goes over Todd's favorite pitchers in Sox history.
