Vintage Justin Verlander stopped the Chicago White Sox as they lost to the Mets, 5-1. The White Sox have seen a lot of Verlander over the years and on Wednesday they had few answers for him. Luis Robert Jr. was the lone spark, hitting a solo HR late in the game. Sox had three hits and were 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position. Verlander went eight innings and was pretty dominant. Touki Toussaint was the starter for the Sox. He was not sharp but ate a lot of innings and perhaps made a case for why he should continue to get a look from the organization. The White Sox will look to avoid the sweep on Thursday afternoon by sending Michael Kopech to the hill to face a familiar face in Jose Quintana. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
