How should we view the Deshaun Watson contract after two years? Can he live up to it?
The Browns signed Deshaun Watson to a 5-year, $230 million contract after acquiring him in a trade in 2022. We're two years into the deal and Watson has played 12 games and the Browns have played in, and lost, a single playoff game. It's safe to say things haven't exactly worked out. How should we view the Watson contract now with three years left and as many questions remaining now as there were two offseasons ago? Can he ever live up to it and can the Browns still make this work if he doesn't? Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe start their Monday Orange and Brown Talk Podcast by discussing Watson's contract and how the Browns can make it work with him. Then they talk some free agency. Should the Browns go after Christian Wilkins? What's the latest on Joe Flacco? How does Mike Evans staying in Tampa Bay impact their plans?
