What do the Deshaun Watson and Trevor Bauer investigations and suspension decisions have in common?

On this Thursday episode, the Orange and Brown Talk Podcast and the Cleveland Baseball Talk Podcast come together. Mary Kay Cabot talks about the football side of things and Paul Hoynes talks about the baseball side of things with Doug Lesmerises as they look at the investigations into, and suspension decisions around, Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson and former Guardians pitcher Trevor Bauer, who is now on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Both face multiple sexual misconduct allegations with no criminal charges. Watson's investigation by the NFL is drawing to a close and a suspension could come soon. Bauer has been suspended for two years by Major League Baseball and is in the midst of appealing. How are the league's processes similar and different? Are the structures in place sensible? And does the decision on Bauer tell us anything about what might happen with Watson? Thanks for listening to this combo episode from cleveland.com. Learn more about your ad choices.
