Welcome back to the Outdoor Podcast!

In Episode 2, we're talking about one of Michigan's biggest outdoor traditions — the 40th Annual Woods-N-Water News Outdoor Weekend!

Dave and Tim sit down with Keel from Woods-N-Water News to talk about how this event grew from a small local show into a massive 40+ acre outdoor celebration that brings together hunters, anglers, families, kids, vendors and outdoor enthusiasts.

This year's event takes place September 11–13, 2026, at the Eastern Michigan State Fairgrounds in Imlay City, Michigan.

We talk about:

🔥 40 years of Woods-N-Water

🐶 The famous puppy tent

🏹 Hunting and archery vendors

🎣 Fishing and outdoor attractions

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Why the event is built around families

🦌 Deer, elk and turkey scoring

🌶️ The 40th Annual Chili Cook-Off

⚙️ Power equipment and outdoor displays

💰 The huge garage sale

🎟️ Youth hunt license giveaways

🏕️ What makes the show different from other outdoor events

😂 Plenty of Dave & Tim comedy along the way

The first 100 people attending Friday will also have the opportunity to receive licenses for the youth Liberty Hunt.
