The Bears beat the Patriots Thursday night football. 30 to 24. Henry. Yeah. What's 2:45 up? Congratulations. Congratulations. Good win. It was a great game. It was it was entertaining 2:50 game. I think what's really entertaining is that we're going to have everybody get to 2:54 listen to the end of this podcast which we recorded like five hours ago. I know a lot 2:59 of people said a lot of things. I almost nailed the final score if the Patriots 3:02 didn't I think I said at the end yeah 30 121 yeah it's pretty close there's yeah 3:09 no it was it was it was entertaining game defense played well Drake may made 3:13 God can cuss bears oh yeah I can hit him dirty right before the interception had 3:18 a had a doi doi interception in the end zone in the first half and that ended 3:21 up being the difference in the game so concussions why don't you go to blue 3:32 I'm not on the staff, I'm not sure. 3:33 Okay, my first question, Hank, is can I apologize 3:36 for not raising my hand at this press conference? 3:39 Sure. 3:40 Okay. 3:40 Question. 3:41 Yeah, Dan. 3:43 I actually thought Drake may play fine 3:45 outside of the doi doi interception. 3:47 He was, it was two really good quarterbacks, 3:48 but I do have a question because you called Caleb Williams 3:51 a check-down king earlier today, 3:55 and Caleb Williams was fucking awesome tonight. 3:59 He was throwing absolute seeds down the field Luther Burton in the first half was on fire 4:06 Rome with that insane. I mean that throw out of the end zone 4:10 There was a couple the one where he got face masked and he hit. I think it was Rome down the field 4:16 And then yeah that one that one was insane 4:18 And then he hit the one to Rome where Rome had to like, you know adjust his body a little bit 4:24 And it was just an absolute dart 4:27 Do you still think he's a checkdown king? 4:30 I don't. 4:30 Okay. 4:31 That was based off of a graphic that was like the shortest yards per throw in the NFL. 4:36 He was at the top of it. 4:37 Yeah. 4:37 Just a little banter. 4:38 But yeah, no, he played, he played out of his mind. 4:40 The third down conversions they had the touchdown in the first half was like third 4:45 and 17. 4:46 To Luther. 4:47 Yeah. 4:47 That was a touchdown. 4:48 And then second half they had him backed up twice, third and pretty long and he converted 4:53 both times. 4:54 So it was we just couldn't couldn't catch a break. Yeah, he finished with 326 yards total rushing Andrews throwing 308 yards 5:04 And he was awesome like he was just his command of the pocket the way he moves 5:09 The he didn't I still think the hamstring is like maybe bothering a little bit because he doesn't run as much 5:15 But when he needed to run he had a couple huge runs 5:18 But those throws were just gutsy throws like shadow of your end zone 5:24 Just ripping it ripping it and getting you know guys rushing in your face and just throwing it right down the field 5:30 It was awesome seat Coulson Loveland looked great 5:33 Sucks at Cole Comet hurt his knee, which I think he's gonna be out for a while 5:37 Deandre Swift was just running his absolute ass off and the defense had a little bit of trouble in this in the third 5:43 Quarter, but Dennis Allen has this unit like playing way above. They're punching above their weight 5:49 I would say that you the defense played okay 5:52 except for one well yeah there's two things there's one guy yeah and there 5:58 was one play in particular the end of the first half was bad really bad what 6:03 the fuck was that guy doing so I guess it's an anti-read play where it's like 6:07 everyone sets up for the Hail Mary so that the funny the funniest thing 6:11 happened in the cave we were watching this happen live the very end of the 6:14 second quarter and the the the touchdown pass happened in about 15 seconds 6:20 We were just all sitting there kind of in silence because obviously Hank Hank was excited. He celebrated got up left the room 6:27 Everybody in the room is just kind of suffering in silence. And then Steven Shea goes. That's actually an Andy Reid. Yeah 6:33 Play and everybody just looks at Jay like what the Steven not right now. It was really bad 6:38 We had I think Kyler Gordon ran into 6:41 Tina men I think Malik Muhammad just turned around and ran away from the play 6:46 that's what Johnson got cooked. It was a it was a really ugly way. But credit to the 6:52 Bears and Ben Johnson because he came out of half he's like that's already happened. We're 6:57 not going to do anything like what do you do about it. And then they come out and score 7:00 right away the Bears score right away and he felt like that you know that didn't stick 7:05 it would have stuck if you come out and you have a three and out. But the way they 7:09 came out offensively was awesome. And yeah I mean even like the drive I should 7:15 said at Cairo Santos Cairo Santos like that the drive that the bears went on with six minutes left 7:21 to basically take the game away and Cairo Santos he's doinx one from 53 yards he does not have the 7:27 strongest leg I do think that the doink was the reason why Ben Johnson was like you know what we're 7:33 going to let him try a 58 yarder because the doink even though it was a miss he had the legs it 7:39 hit it hit up on the upright and that's the biggest thing with Cairo Santos is very very 7:43 accurate cannot doesn't have the leg for 50 plus 55 plus but he was like it seems like 7:50 he has a leg tonight so we're going to try it and that won the game because that was that 7:54 was it like if he misses that there's a pretty good chance the Patriots go down the field 7:58 and win the game because they were midfield. The fourth quarter the two drives that the 8:02 Bears had 51 yards 13 plays took about seven minutes off the clock the next one 12 plays 8:08 51 yards took about five minutes off the clock. It was awesome. So just kind of they 8:13 They just strangled the clock to death at the end of it. 8:15 Ben Johnson called a play that I'm glad did not work out. 8:20 I think he's I see I'm so far here explain the play. 8:23 And then I'll give you my theory, which is I will fully admit is a sicko. 8:28 I might be too in love with Ben Johnson. 8:30 OK, all right. 8:31 So so the play was I believe Caleb was under center for it takes it 8:35 and then hands the ball off, hands it forward to tune. 8:38 Yeah, to tune the the left guard. 8:40 Yeah, who then pivots turns around. 8:43 gets tackled about one yard short of the uh of the uh line to gain for first down 8:48 and i'm glad that he got tackled short of it because if he had run into the end zone and steam 8:53 rolled three dudes yep and then they would have had to call it back because it's an extremely 8:57 illegal play to run i would have been so mad that we saw this big boy just stiff arm people get in 9:03 the end zone so i'm glad that he got tackled on that it does seem like a play that like 9:07 we all watched it and i don't think any of us know the exact rule of what is and is not 9:12 illegal handoff. Yeah, but but Ben Johnson probably should know what that 9:17 rule is. Okay, so I'm assuming that they just didn't execute it well. I would 9:21 assume that he knows the rule and that was, you know, maybe it's he's supposed 9:24 to take a further step back. I don't know. But I'm such a sicko in love with 9:29 Ben Johnson guy at this point in my life that I saw it and I was like they 9:34 actually did that on purpose to show tape of it not working and then 9:37 they're gonna do a variation off of it. Again, I told you that take was 9:41 fuck yeah you're deep you're deep into it hey listen I need to know how you think 9:45 this could know possibly work as a max I'm giving you an alternate explanation 9:52 Max I'm giving you an alternate explanation I'm an alt-22 you're not 9:57 listening to me I'm saying it was intentionally wrong so that at some 10:03 point in a key position later in the season he's going to run a variation 10:07 off it where he was intentionally like let's put something on tape that people have to be ready for 10:13 no one's going to be ready for this no so max here big guys don't understand what i'm saying 10:17 guys cope might be a little bit wrong i think that his cope should be that why he ran it wrong on 10:22 purpose right so that way all the other coaches are going to be like he's never going to try this 10:27 shit again yeah because he knows that it's illegal that works and then the next time you run it 10:31 it well that's not what big cat but that's that's not what i think mine makes a little bit 10:35 Yeah, no, I but again, can we rewind the tape? 10:38 I said it was a sicko take. 10:40 I said I just want to make sure 10:41 that we're not we're not entertaining this take. 10:44 I know we are big on the take back from it. 10:47 It's a take I like to hear it again. 10:48 I think Ben Johnson ran it wrong on purpose 10:51 to put put something on tape 10:53 that then he can run a variation off of it 10:56 where it's like that was a pretty significant play. 10:58 Like if he runs it and it's like a two yard game, 11:00 people like I would ever it was a flag. 11:03 Everyone replays it. 11:04 Now it's like oh fuck, what are they doing? There's gonna be something. There's gonna be some this is the guy who created the stumble play 11:12 Again, but why would they need to study this because if you're an opposing team you want them to run this play 11:19 Yeah, they're gonna have something different off because you get a penalty every time you watch you watch you don't need to study 11:24 It's gonna be so different next time. I can't wait that's a different play 11:28 Yeah, no, but it's gonna look like that, but they could have just run that to begin with yeah net and next time 11:33 it's going to be nuts. But that has nothing to do with this play. I disagree. So if they 11:42 if they ran that play, but let's say he handed the ball for you, you can hand the ball forward 11:46 to a tight end. You just can't do it to an eligible. Yeah, I just disagree with whatever 11:52 you're saying right now. I think everything Ben Johnson does has a has a plan that will 11:57 be revealed at a later date. He is Kaiser Soze. So he killed like a bunch of families 12:04 and stuff he had to do what he had to do to hang thoughts yeah Hank thoughts I'm 12:10 with Max okay what Hank can you say Caleb Williams is good he's good is good 12:15 not was good he's good he's good good quarterback because I actually thought 12:19 drink outside of the interception drink may played well and he doesn't have a 12:23 lot of receivers do going to and no offensive line yeah no offensive line 12:27 he probably should have had another 60 yards AJ Brown it has become a 12:31 problem. Disagree. Okay. The defender's arm was in 12:37 AJ Brown's hands. Malik Muhammad, he made a nice play breaking up his hands. I feel 12:41 like probably probably could have cut what do you always say Hank? I got a friend 12:45 that says you can touch it, you can catch it. It's true, but it's tough to 12:48 like it's different when you're got a receiver's arms in between your arms. 12:56 Yeah, that's it. No, I know. Come on. Keep it going to do thing. 13:02 What? I'm done. I'm just happy about the bear. I don't. I said the I thought Drake may played 13:07 really well. It was really good. Two really good quarterbacks dueling it out. It was actually a 13:11 very fun game to watch and Caleb made a couple plays. I mean, the sack was the only one that 13:16 was like that was not good, but it didn't matter because Cairo Santos still nailed the 13:20 field goal, but it was just like it every time we needed a big 13:23 throw Caleb stepped up. And it's just again, I think I think 13:27 he's reached that next level where everything is just going 13:30 slower for him. And he sees everything and he's just he's 13:34 so calm in the pocket. And he's so elusive like that that throw 13:37 to Rome, which could have easily been a sack like where the 13:41 guy's coming right at him. And he's just he sidesteps him. 13:44 And it's not like a sidestep to then run. It's a sidestep to 13:47 to throw a fucking dart down the field. 13:50 So yeah, I think the bears are good. 13:53 Are you, where are you at Hank with that game? 13:56 Just get rested? 13:57 Yeah, I mean Thursday night game, 13:58 first of all are kind of flukes in the first place. 14:01 Agreed, strong agree. 14:03 Yeah. 14:03 And it was, I mean the Patriots played a good game 14:06 given the injuries and they just needed to get 14:09 one third down south, they didn't get it 14:10 and then one doidoy concussion play, 14:14 like that's the difference. 14:15 So you think he's he's tuned up so we're saying if you didn't get concussed it wouldn't have been I think he got hit hard dirty in the head and then it took him you know 14:26 Dirty plan so it's right after that was the interception. Do you think the bears were head hunting? 14:31 I it was it is it sounds like an excuse football. It's it's a physical sport 14:35 Sounds like an excuse, but no this doesn't deter, you know division no longer runs through us. I I 14:40 Have to admit that 14:43 It was a good game 14:44 It was a it was a playoff felt like a playoff game. It's a good test. You feel you feel those losses hard 14:51 And you move on. Yeah 14:55 4-3 is a good record 14:57 It's not bad. You can still win the AFC East 15:00 Yeah, we kill it 15:02 Okay, still in it. Hey still in it max. Did you have did you have something that you wanted to? 15:09 What cheer up our boy up her boy with yeah, oh 15:11 Oh, you can use Hank to cheer up. I would love to cheer up our boy. Oh, let's cheer him up 15:16 I do have a surprise for you Henry actually memes. You have a surprise for him 15:21 If you would like to reach under your cushion. Oh 15:25 I would not. Well, come on. Why don't you come in here and you reach under your cushion. I know 15:31 Hank reach on the cushion. Can I reach under your cushion? Sure. All right. I'll reach under the cushion 15:36 I'd like Hank to help 15:39 Hey, it's not it's not reach under the cushion. I'm putting my hand under the cushion 15:43 Nothing's gonna bite me or anything. I don't I don't I don't want I don't want a gift from memes 15:50 It's actually not a game. It's not a game. It's not a gift from memes. It's a gift from Polar 16:04 Nice 16:12 It's a dog. It's a Hank doll. 16:14 What? No. No. No. 16:15 No. No. 16:16 It's not just any Hank doll. 16:17 It's not just any Hank doll. 16:19 It's a special Hank doll that's new and a pretty one. 16:22 Oh, look at that. 16:23 Squeeze it in the microphone, Hank. 16:25 Squeeze. 16:26 Into the microphone. 16:28 This thing sucks. 16:29 It farts. 16:29 It farts. 16:30 It's a Hank Fartin doll. 16:31 You remember when you wore that? 16:33 Yeah. 16:33 It's so, for people who are just listening, it's Hank in his Pelicans hat from the famous 16:38 fart with Kellen Moore. And it's going to be a dog toy that we're 16:42 going to put on sale. It's a new it's the new Hank 2.0 dog 16:47 toy or the car stick 5.0 that has so if you squeeze if you 16:53 squeeze this Hank dog toy, it farts. 16:59 See, little two. Is that cute? Let me get one. Yeah, Blake's 17:03 going to love this. Oh, Hank doesn't want it, but it is. 17:07 It's the pelicans had is so great. It's really good because 17:10 People forget that the Saints facility it's the pelicans and it's right there 17:14 Yeah, also the chair was the the cavern of the chair. Yeah the Converture Hank 17:20 It's a different picture of you it is you look actually very handsome. Yeah, you look handsome. You look happy 17:25 Are you happy with is this cheering you up at all? No, no, no, it's not why you're taking a picture of it 17:31 Seems like it cheered you up a little bit. Oh 17:35 Hank 17:39 Come on Hank 17:47 I can't exist. Look how happy he looks in that smile. Do you like this? Do you like 17:55 this picture better than the at 40? It's funnier. It's so good. And it makes a fart 18:05 No, it's not a fart noise dogs are gonna really doesn't yet. No, it does 18:12 Actually, no, it's not a fart it's air coming from his butt big. Yeah big. We tried to sue TMZ over this 18:19 It's a completely different sound 18:23 Yeah, it's air coming out of his butt Hank. I think this is awesome. I can't wait to give this to Blake 18:27 He's gonna go crazy. That's awesome, man. Yeah 18:31 Do you love it Hank? Isn't there part of you that loves how much joy you bring people's dogs? No 18:36 All right 18:41 Okay, so anything else on this game Kyler Gordon also another side. He has four sacks. He's played like 18:46 Like not I think he's played like 40 snaps or something. It's pretty ridiculous. So he's been awesome 18:52 I don't know 21 snaps to see that can't be right. I think he's played more than that 18:55 But he's got four sacks. Yeah, I uh 18:59 Just kill was awesome. He looks like he's taking that next leap forward 19:03 I mean the the completion percentage people have got to be in hell because he's I think he's over 70% this year now and it's not 19:10 It's not check downs. It's taking what the defense gives you where if it's not a deep shot 19:17 Then just take the take the easy thing. You got to take something away 19:21 Then John's a good coach. You guys had guys open in the middle of the field the entire night 19:25 Yeah, no, I mean the way that it's it's basically I said I actually was I was I was dead accurate the first drive of the game 19:32 When the fourth down I said this is the game 19:34 You did and it was the game you called the game when the when the bears stopped the the Patriots on the on fourth down 19:40 That was off of a third and six handoff that only got one yard. It was smart. They did self-scouting. Yeah 19:45 No Dennis Allen's got I don't know how the Bears defense doing it again 19:49 There was moments where it's like what is going on because you can't get a pass rush, but the past rush the the sack on 19:55 I think it was Tiananmen and Hardy the sack on Drake may 19:58 The second-to-last drive was massive the to make it third and 20. Mm-hmm 20:03 That was a big one that got the ball back and that's you know, bleeding the clock out 20:08 What do you think about the hard count where where the Patriots jumped off sides in the fourth quarter? 20:12 I because it was on purpose. Yeah, it's on purpose, right? Vrable had them jump on purpose 20:16 Yeah, it's because it was third and inches. It was 13 inches. They had three timeouts 20:20 he knows that it was smart is smart play because it's like you get you if you burn a time out on 20:25 The bear is just getting an inch. That's you're kind of screwed then. Yeah, so that was his under the two-minute warning. I believe 20:32 Yeah, variable. I that's that's one guy that when it comes to those types of scenarios like he knows his shit 20:37 Yeah, whoever he has working with him. Yeah, he knows exact 20:41 That's so valuable to have a coach that's good at that type of stuff at the end of the game. That was the right call 20:45 Yeah, I didn't yeah, I didn't walk away like that. Those are two really good teams 20:49 That wasn't really Hank Super Bowl preview. Yeah 20:53 Okay, anything else from the game 20:55 Anything else max we do talk about at the end. Do you want? Oh, there's something you have another gift for Hank? 21:01 I was asking max if there was anything else 21:04 You I don't know about it. It's like I knew about this talk about what my friend may have shown me. Oh, I 21:11 Don't know. I thought that you had something like on the your messages that were just pulled up. Oh shit. Oh shit 21:17 is this from 21:19 I 21:20 Love how Glenn always does the football emoji when he sends a DM. Yeah, he's a Star Trek Star Trek 21:25 He's a big Star Trek guy, and he's a football guy 21:30 That's pretty damn cool. Mm-hmm 21:32 Football and Star Trek. Wouldn't you agree? Sometimes it takes a while for these videos to live 21:36 I've never watched Star Trek Glenn is thorough in his yeah 21:41 There's no way you could have done a thorough one the game just ended 21:43 How long how long does this in 245 245 that's nothing that's nothing let's see 21:49 what Glenn this is quick for Glenn this is from it looks like this may be from 21:54 this game welcome back to another tape watch we have studied the tape we're 22:00 gonna watch the film I'm gonna wait for all the all 22 to come out on the 22:04 Patriots Bears game but thanks to all the glintelmen out there we have been 22:08 able to covertly install our own cameras we did this Wednesday night at 22:12 Soldier field we got the drone swarm up. So yeah, we smashed the drone button 22:16 Thanks to your guys very glimmerous donations and we were actually able to do our own all 22 22:22 So we are able to break down the state and what I saw tonight was a great football game 22:26 Absolute bomb from Drake made it close out the second quarter. Look at this nuke that he delivered 22:30 You won't see that from the New York Chess because the New York Chess have been outscored 22:34 100 to 6 in the last two minutes of the second quarter people do forget that we watched this 22:40 airstrike from drake may that made the score look a lot closer than it was I'll 22:44 tell you what the Patriots would have won this game if it weren't for this 22:47 costly first half interception another red zone pick from drake may early in the 22:53 game and look at that I mean his tight end is so open if drake hits him in 22:59 stride he's still running if that's the matter is he was not in stride he 23:06 He was actually very, very severely underthrown terrible red zone pick from Drake May and the 23:13 mechanics were so off, it got me thinking. 23:16 Are we sure that Drake May is right-handed? 23:19 Glenn's wrong. 23:20 I ran 9000 simulations of this game and this is what it would look like if Drake was left-handed 23:25 just a much smoother, more natural, throwing ability from Drake May. 23:30 It's a wonder that he hasn't tried to switch to being left-handed. 23:34 it. It's really, really confusing to me. Now, I know that a lot of you have accused 23:40 me of being Jaden Daniels' hater, and while it is true, I do take a little bit more serious 23:45 and judge him more harshly because I have that much faith in him. It's unfair if I 23:48 don't apply those same principles to other quarterbacks in NFO like Drake May. One thing 23:52 that Jaden has taught us, he has taught us the value of virtual reality, of simulation 23:57 theory. So what I've done is I've gone ahead, I've made a full-scale simulation 24:02 For Drake to practice 24:05 Go to he'sstillrunning.com 24:06 Yeah, we can run through the simulations a daily challenge game where you see 24:10 If you have what it takes to beat an NFL defense and Drake may you put yourself in his shoes 24:15 You put yourself in your own shoes. Let's see who do you throw the ball to? 24:19 That's taken from the Bears game on Thursday night. Do you throw to your tight end? 24:23 Or do you throw it to the linebacker? 24:24 You have no way. 24:25 If you're Drake may you probably selected linebacker again. 24:27 But guess what? That's why it's a daily challenge game 24:29 You could always try again get better tomorrow that way the next time that situation comes across in a real game 24:34 Drake is gonna hit him in stride, and he's still got to be running. This has been a quick flash update from Glenn 24:41 Welcome back to oh, wow. Okay. Wait. Should we play the game? Yeah, let's play a game. I'm playing right now 24:47 I was just on he's still running.com. Yeah. Wow 24:51 Hey, you are all pretty cool. Look at that. Let's start 24:57 All right. So we it says targeting Eli Rudin in the end zone to Marco Jackson. Jump the 25:04 route. Who are you throwing it to? The linebacker or the tight end? I think you want to throw 25:11 the tight end, right? Let's let's click and find out. 25:14 Right. It was actually he. So it's who did he throw it to? It looks like in that case 25:21 he threw it to the linebacker. Okay. You but I think you're right. You should 25:25 want. But if you are of a reminder, this is what happened. Got it. 25:28 Great. Yeah, it's very real. You're not trying to say who he 25:31 should be throwing it to, to who he did throw it to. That's going 25:33 to be the next. It's a daily challenge. So I'm sure that 25:35 there'll be different. I told you all of this. Yeah. Well, I 25:38 know in the video, he said, all right, there's a daily 25:40 challenge. All right. So let's try this one. Yeah. Okay. 25:42 Who do you want to see out of late fourth quarter forced 25:45 into tight coverage? Like deep red zone. Do you think he 25:49 throws it to the wide receiver or the corner? I 25:50 think he throws it to the wide receiver. Okay, should we 25:53 try wide receiver yeah all right shit all right let's try the next one okay this 26:01 one I think you may have thrown to the corner back what is this we shot under 26:05 pressure under pressure corner had leverage I saw this one because it was a 26:09 corner that lens no I think no I think this was a touchdown pass oh he's a 26:13 wide receiver yeah all right click wide receiver 26:19 Oh, that but you know what that's not fair it was tipped. No. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. What else 26:26 we have. All right. So this is week three at Jacksonville bootleg left defender was sitting 26:31 on it who wins this play. I honestly don't know. I think it was the corner. Okay, let's 26:38 try the corner here. All right, let's say he's still running. So if you get it right, 26:45 He you had you got hit with it. He's still running. Yeah. Oh 26:49 That's pretty good. That's yeah, I guess 26:52 Week four buffalo 26:54 Look, I love how Max is laughing at his own website that he made kept the only 27:00 They kept the only early narrative going who wins this play you want to try cornerback again. Yeah, let's say try cornerback 27:06 he's still running it's a good game it's kind of addicting yeah holy shit I think 27:18 there's also a comment section see results yes you see what your results 27:21 are let's see what our results see the results okay we got on D needs more 27:27 tapes more tape we gotta get back in the lab click the comment section at the 27:30 bottom I don't know it I haven't clicked on that okay comment you want me 27:35 yeah post a comment what should we say he's still running valuable tape I 27:43 learned something today what what do you what are your thoughts Hank do you 27:48 like this game no it's not a game it's a simulator it's simulator sorry sorry 27:53 sorry sorry not a fan no he just has like you have no wife I know what you're 28:06 talking about. Glenn made this. Number one. Number one, Glenn made it. Number two, it looks 28:13 like something that maybe you could whip up in about 10 minutes. You just can't, you just, 28:19 you got nothing original anymore. You know, you made one dog toy and then you just run 28:22 that back. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You did the, the Glenn thing was funny 28:26 for a week and you just can't give it up. This is not mine, Hank. This is not mine. 28:29 I had nothing to do with the dog toy. It is a good looking dog toy. It is a good 28:36 if your dog, if your dog liked the first one, 28:37 they're probably gonna like the second one even more. 28:39 Because this one farts. 28:41 This one farts. 28:42 They're out of the butt. 28:43 Yeah. 28:43 Big difference, big difference. 28:47 I'm gonna bookmark that website. 28:49 Yeah, he'sstillrunning.com, okay. 28:52 I mean, the simulators are all the rage right now. 28:54 Yeah, it's like 82 and 0. 28:56 Yeah, two minute drill. 28:59 He's still running. 29:01 Hey, can I give you something 29:03 that actually might cheer you up? 29:04 Sure. 29:05 Did you watch any college football tonight? 29:10 Yeah, I mean, I don't know. Hey, I got nothing against PFT. I root for him and his teams like I'm not I I don't 29:17 Get joy out of his losses. No, you know 29:21 You would never and like a regular season like 29:25 They had no chance at the playoffs. They made the playoffs. They're gonna lose by 100 29:28 It's like it's the gym music. It's not a real it's not real football school 29:31 It's like a little fun thing for people. It's like the playoffs. Oh shit. We lost by 100, but we made the playoffs 29:38 At least you don't have to do that. At least we don't have to listen to that. I think James you could beat fucking 29:43 Alabama, I think I love you think we can win this game Oregon. I 29:47 Just wanted to cover we covered 29:51 Against Oregon. Yeah, you lost to lost that absolute night 29:55 This is it like Hank said like Thursday night football games kind of fluky anything can happen 30:01 Mm-hmm knows ball. What could I say? It was uh, yeah, absolute was a better team tonight 30:05 our defense kind of fell apart the second half and 30:07 And, not to make excuses, we did have our starting running back go down with a hamstring, so he was not available in overtime. 30:15 That was tough, but yeah, AppState, really hard place to play, and most of all, I blamed the kid that said that he was going to eat dog poop if JMU lost to AppState. 30:24 And then he deactivated before the game, ensuring that JMU would then lose to AppState, and JMU probably won't win another football game until that guy logs back on. 30:34 Ultimate coward move Fletcher shotgun cocks CPA. I wonder if he's actually CPA said if jam you if jam you loses to app state 30:43 I'll eat dog shit out of a cup on video. He deactivated in like the third quarter 30:49 That was insane. That's insane. It's crazy. We all knew where this was gonna go 30:55 I thought I thought about offering myself as tribute 31:00 But that was the only way that we were going to win. Yeah, it because of the bad vibes 31:05 that he put on the program. But yeah, it was, listen, this J Mu team, they're not, they're 31:10 not the same team as last year. They're not the same team as a year before. A lot of a 31:15 lot of obvious weaknesses on this team. If you've if you've been watching them, they've 31:19 had some close calls. So we were not a dominant force as we were in years past. 31:24 So I'm not surprised that we eventually lost and it feels like every time we have a great season to go 31:28 And it is app state that comes in and crushes our dreams of that 31:32 So yeah, congratulations to them and and fuck you to the guy that didn't eat the dog poop. Yeah 31:38 That's that's that's a crazy move if you say you can't you can't deactivate real loser shit. Yeah real loser right Hank 31:45 That's real loser shit. Mm-hmm 31:51 I did wish him a happy birthday. Yeah, that's brutal. We love Evo. But that's a bad way to 31:57 have your birthday end to have state. Yeah. Okay. What else we got? Uh, the boys went 32:03 to banner night. PFT. You're on the wood. Yeah, I was at the Wizards game. Yeah. Yeah. 32:09 It was a great time. Wiz look good. Frisky. Anthony Davis MVP. You got mic'd up. I saw 32:16 that was awesome they might be up I always want to like talk to somebody be 32:20 like hey just so you know I'm federalist yeah I'm feds right now don't 32:23 talk to shit that's a Steve yeah talk to us about better night though we talked 32:27 about the wood was was a like sitting on the wood is I mean being court side 32:31 like that is just so cool it was right behind the Wizards bench so I got to 32:35 see like the guys interacting with each other and surprisingly I think like 32:39 Deandre Aiton seemed like he was the all-time vibes guy oh I know that 32:42 he hasn't always been seen as that in the past but he was like he was the 32:45 one that was getting everybody worked up. We've got the problem is the wizard they actually 32:51 might be too deep right now. Oh, wow. They've got a lot of really, really good role players 32:55 on that team. Yeah. And I love Bob Carrington. He's he's become my favorite player to watch 33:00 just because he's like the ultimate scrappy guy. Great defender. He's like a high energy 33:05 guy. And then Trey Young outside the first quarter looked like he fit in really good. 33:10 So I'm excited to watch the team grow and see how they gel together. But I do 33:14 think just based off one game and it was against the Bucks. I feel confident in my one through 33:21 eight seed prediction for the Wiz. Love that. And yeah, Hank, to answer your question, sitting 33:26 right there next to the court was awesome. Love it. What do you say, Max? Where were the 33:33 feet? So right next to the court? Yeah, I was sitting right next to the court. You 33:37 said you were sitting right next to the court. Like directly next to the court. 33:42 Like Patrick Ewing was right in front of me. That's pretty that's sick. Yeah, that is sick. Did he block your view a little bit? 33:52 It's Patrick Ewing and there's this one guy. I think he's from France. He's another assistant coach on the team 33:57 He's like seven foot four and he was directly in front, but yeah, it was it was still good got to see a lot 34:03 I got to see most of the game 34:06 Uh, boys, Banner Knight, you guys all went to New York. 34:11 Talk to us. 34:12 Talk about the ceremony, boys. 34:14 Yeah. 34:14 Banner Knight was special. 34:15 They had Mike Breen do the intros, 34:18 and then they had the starting... 34:19 They had four of the starting five 34:20 from the 73-chamber chip team give out the rings. 34:24 We're just going to focus on that 34:25 because there's currently a story breaking about James Dolan 34:28 just being an absolute scumbag. 34:29 Oh, no. 34:30 I read that. 34:31 What happened? 34:31 It seems like it was something that was just like created out of fan fiction about somebody like from somebody who hates James Dolan, okay? 34:40 Saying that instead of giving rings to all the assistants. He sent out like fishing emails, okay? 34:48 To trick them into thinking they were getting rings. Oh 34:51 Wow, but then you clicked on something. There was a cyber security. Oh my god. Is that real? 34:57 That's that's as evil as when all business Pete did that to me with a free Uber Eats gift card 35:01 Yeah, the only time I've clicked on a company email means I don't want to spread fake news 35:05 So you tell me if any of this is wrong. I mean, it's good at the f the athletic report it. Oh, man 35:11 Is that what it was? 35:13 Yeah, that's what they're saying. That's what they're saying. Yeah, but we can focus up. We focus on let's talk about the banner 35:19 Yeah, the banner was so sick. It took like 20 minutes for it to go up, which I liked Steven didn't really love it 35:25 But yeah, I loved it. I loved every second of it 35:29 The game itself was sloppy, but that really didn't mean anything 35:36 But we had a banner. What do you mean? It didn't mean anything. No, we're just on one just another game. Could you play? 35:42 76ers 35:44 Max 35:46 What'd you think? It's game to 35:50 It's game errors game one. Well, yeah, but there's one there's been two games and 35:56 I'm gonna overreact this team is fucking awesome 35:59 Yeah, and I'm so down to get my heart ripped out because 36:04 It's incredible what I'm watching the first half tonight 36:08 They got a little swept up in the moment moment of the you know LeBron's first game 36:13 The introductions, there's new lights in the stadium, which I fucking hate, but that's one thing or the other 36:19 The defensive intensity in the second half tonight and the defensive intensity against the Knicks 36:24 game one game I 36:28 I thought it was going to take a while for this team to gel the chemistry to get there 36:32 and we're already humming against the two Eastern Conference finals participants last 36:40 year. 36:41 The 76ers team could be special. 36:43 Okay. 36:45 Special. 36:46 Yeah. 36:47 Special. 36:48 Yeah. 36:48 All right. 36:49 What do you think, Hank? 36:50 29 point lead tonight. 36:52 Nothing. 36:53 Nothing for the Cavs. 36:54 Sexers are scary. Oh 36:58 Yes, yes, it's a scary team 37:01 Jalen Brown really good player great player 37:07 Quite possibly the worst trading M. Yes already. They should investigate it 37:13 Zax you love better night bear I was awesome MSG definitely didn't disappoint is a 37:19 Overwhelming experience and the banner also floated up there. It was pretty nice to see 37:23 Yeah, they took their time let it sink in a little bit. The other night was not about 37:27 What happened on the court? It was about acquiring hardware. Yeah 37:30 Those guys worked hard. They got rings and and it's October. So like what are we doing? 37:34 Yeah, why are we playing these games like we haven't hit Halloween yet, right? Yeah, it was awesome 37:39 Right all time. Yeah, it didn't feel like they were gonna play a game after that 37:42 They did sense. No, they did. Yeah, they did 37:45 But the last team to lose 37:46 Banner I went back to back. So what was what was up with Roger Goodell? 37:51 He's just there why do we know? 37:54 next round 37:57 I have also a theory about that. Okay, don't change Dolan and Adam Silver hate each other 38:03 Yeah, do you think that that was kind of like a shot being like maybe we're gonna put? 38:07 Roger Goodell front and center and not have Adam Silver hand out the rings like this is what a real commissioner looks like 38:15 Kinda 38:16 Okay 38:17 Yeah, sure. Like it was so strategic of where they put Roger 38:21 Gidell during that ring ceremony. And it was very notable that 38:28 Adam Silver did not give out the rings. Right. Why? Don't ask 38:34 yourself that. By the way, we should give just one last 38:37 shout out to our guy Florio with the theory of the of the 38:41 week. This is why Mike Florio has a special brain because the 38:45 NFL cannot do anything without Mike Florio being like, but why is that his theory goes the bears have 38:52 Thursday night football, then they have Monday night football against Seahawks, and they have Sunday night football against the Bucks 38:57 We saw the Falcons. They went three in a row. I believe prime time games 39:02 So Florio basically was like the NFL is testing out 39:07 Putting teams three times in a row on prime time 39:11 because we're going to get to a point where they start playing Tuesday and 39:15 Wednesday games and in order to do that you'd have to have the same teams play 39:19 like you know shuffle it up but like Tuesday would be the Bears and Patriots 39:24 then the following Wednesday would be the Bears versus you know whoever played 39:28 on Wednesday and the Patriots would play on Tuesday against whoever played on 39:31 Wednesday as well and so this is his theory and I believe it I believe it 39:36 and I'm not gonna like when they do Tuesday and Wednesday football yeah 39:40 It's just like a way to test it out to see what the unintended consequences are that we you don't see coming 39:45 My theory was just that all the teams that are playing in prime time for the most part they get the back-to-back-to-back jobs 39:52 That they are a lot of over teams and so then if I'll just watch that could be it to I'm time that could be it too 39:58 Okay 40:00 Let's get to ourselves. By the way, I don't know if I said it but Roma dunes. I he's he's been 40:07 Chastised but he came up huge tonight 40:08 I think you cut the on-site kick as well. It's just big catches fucking awesome Hank any last words by the toy 40:15 Are we putting on sale right now, or is it gonna be black Friday? Oh, we are. Oh 40:19 Very cool. It's out. It's on sale right it's on sale. You can get it right now. Also Hank or you see in 40:24 Jalen Brown Jason Tatum online right now. I did see that what happened. I 40:29 Guess are they having a 40:31 Comment report posted a video of Jason Tatum talking about how he didn't get Jalen Brown traded 40:38 And Jalen Brown decided to comment on that tonight saying cat. 40:42 Oh, I guess again, I don't think these guys like each other. 40:46 Could have traded into the West. 40:48 Had to trade them to Philly. 40:52 Yeah, fucking Philly. 40:55 Yeah. Week seven. How do we get to week seven already? 44:01 I understand that it's not the correct math, but for anybody with a brain, seven is half of 17. 44:07 Yeah. 44:07 We're halfway done through the season. 44:08 Yep. Yep. It feels that way. So we got a loaded slate, some good games, some not so good games, 44:15 some winnable games for maybe the JETS Jets. Memes we'll get to that. Jets and Dolphins. 44:20 But we're going to start as we always start with Hank's favorite game of the week. 44:26 Steelers at Saints. 44:27 Oh, in Paris. 44:29 Oh, plus three and a half over under 44 and a half. 44:34 The Steelers, by the way, are taking the red eye. 44:37 They're going to do the fly and fly out. 44:40 I think they're leaving Friday night. 44:42 They're arriving going to go straight to the practice field. 44:46 And then try not to adjust their body clock, go to sleep, wake up. 44:51 I feel like this is a bad idea when you have a 42 year old quarterback. 44:54 I was going to say, it's one thing to try to do this with Matt Stafford. 44:58 It's another with a spry young Matthew Stafford. 45:01 Right. 45:01 Fresh out of the University of Georgia. 45:03 It's another thing with the old balls and Rogers, right? 45:06 So that might be an interesting wrinkle here. 45:09 I also, do we ever get an update on Mike McCarthy and his injury? 45:13 and just that you got stepped on. I'm here's my fear is that when he went into the blue tent 45:20 they gave him a concussion test and Mike McCarthy's concussion test was probably just the doctor 45:25 holding a mozzarella stick and going back and forth and having him follow it with his eyes 45:29 then he ate the mozzarella stick now he sees the blue tent not as the concussion tent but 45:33 the free snacks tent it's like a dog hearing the dinner bell yeah yeah I was thinking it would be 45:38 like a picture menu that they would give him what is this that's musu guy pan all right 45:41 He's good, send him back out there. 45:43 They hand him a cookie. 45:44 They're like, what do you do with this? 45:45 He just starts eating it. 45:46 I think you're good. 45:47 I think he, somebody might have stepped on him. 45:49 It might have been phantom pains. 45:51 I don't know. 45:52 But yeah, he just kind of looked down at his foot. 45:54 Maybe his foot just broke. 45:55 Sometimes old people's feet and hips, they just, 45:58 They break. 45:58 They just give out. 45:59 And maybe that's what it was. 46:00 He looked back at it like it was an Achilles. 46:02 He's just like, oh, there's something wrong with my foot. 46:05 I don't know how that flight is gonna treat him. 46:08 If it's like a serious foot injury, 46:11 You don't want to fly with those no he's gonna have to wear the compression socks 46:15 Maybe double layers of yeah this time. Yeah, so no 46:18 I don't know what's what's gonna go on with with him in terms of the injury situation 46:22 But this does feel like I mean the Saints have been good away from the dome this year 46:28 They just haven't been good in the dome and it's a home game for them, right? 46:31 Because of the French culture it should be are they playing it on a clay? I don't know 46:35 But it is yeah, they are technically the home team. I don't know 46:39 I, I'm like stuck in the, I actually don't, we've talked about the Steelers a lot, I actually don't 46:45 think they're the same old Steelers because I think they are better offensively than the Steelers of 46:51 the last five years and they're slightly worse defensively. So in like Aaron Rodgers, now he's 46:57 just kind of doing whatever he wants to do, which is throwing the ball a lot, like Jeremy 47:02 Bernard is good. Do you think that McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers have an understanding worked out 47:07 Where McCarthy is going to call plays and then Aaron Rodgers is going to run whatever play he wants 47:12 Yeah, and then they're going to pretend like it was the play that Mike McCarthy called. Yeah, both of them 47:17 Yeah, they'll just go to like yeah Mike called that. Well, maybe maybe they have an understanding that like hey listen all the good plays 47:23 We're just gonna give to you Mike. Yeah, you know, I got your back on this 47:27 Yeah, I'll give you I'll toss you some credit every now and again great play call 47:30 But in reality, I don't know that Mike McCarthy is actually calling all the place. No, I'd agree 47:35 By the way, one match up here is from my guys at Sports Info Solutions Steelers have been 47:40 one of the most more inside heavy run games this year with almost half their runs going 47:45 between the guards and a top five success rate. 47:48 That should be trouble for the Saints because they have allowed a bottom 10 success rate 47:53 on inside rent. 47:54 I don't think the Saints defense very good. 47:56 That's not really saying anything. 47:57 I mean, JJ McCarthy was throwing Yolo balls, but he did light them up. 48:01 Yeah. 48:01 So I feel like the Steelers should be able to win this game. 48:04 I'm probably going to take the over in this game and just assume that 48:09 Our theory that Roger Goodell has to make these international games fun. Yep. We'll continue. Mm-hmm 48:15 So that's that's that's where I'm going with this game 48:17 Yes, not a not a bad theory to work with there. What do you think about the Saints kicking situation? Is it bad? 48:24 Well Daniel yeah, probably but oh, yeah Daniel Carlson the kicker for the Saints 48:27 He might not be making the trip because his wife's gonna go into labor 48:30 Uh-oh and so I think they brought the Irish kicker the guy that they had last year Charlie Smith 48:37 I think they brought him back up. Okay practice squad 48:40 So I think he's gonna be the one that's making the trip Charlie Smith mm-hmm the boondock same. Yeah. Yeah, all right 48:46 I like this guy 48:48 And Irish kicker like that's that's fun. I like that. Yeah, I have a question for you about Kellen Moore 48:53 Yeah, do you think that Kellen Moore is able? 48:57 to like to coach the team hard like aggressively because he's been put under a 49:02 lot of pressure from directly from the ownership yeah saying like hey if you 49:05 don't fix this there's gonna be a lot of changes around here do you think that he 49:09 has because he's a nice guy do you think he has the gear in him to be a real 49:13 dickhead and and two players out do you think he's going to try to do that 49:18 possibly because that's what I'm worried about yeah situation like this a 49:21 guy that doesn't have that personality you remember that episode of South Park 49:24 where the devil was fucking Saddam Hussein. Yeah. And Saddam was like, talk dirty to me 49:29 and the devil tried and it just didn't sound right. Right. That's what I imagine killing 49:33 more trying to like grab somebody by the face mask is like, yeah, it's like, that's not 49:36 you, dude. It's not you. What he needs is he needs a defensive coordinator or strength 49:40 coach that's a real like maybe ex military hard ass who could do that stuff for him. 49:45 And then he can come in and be like, Hey, let's go boys. Let's let's win this game. 49:48 I didn't know that he was talking to you done this all on his own. Oh man. That's 49:52 Well, I mean their strength coach isn't is a dickhead. Yeah, the neck workout. Oh my god. He snapped your neck. He almost broke it 49:58 Yeah 49:59 By the way, here's a fun stat that really is just the oh Sam Donald missed a few games that 50:05 Tyler Shuck and Chris a lot of a are the number one in 50:09 Yards for a QB wide receiver duo 50:13 580 this year. Wow. So and a lot of which is again. That's just the stat that Sam 50:18 Or drew lock through to Jackson Smith, Najiba for a couple games. I think yeah, Olavi 50:23 Is he second in the NFL? He might be I think he's second in receiving yards having a great season 50:27 Yeah, so the second in the duo is Dak Prescott CD lamb and then third and fourth are actually Jordan love Christian Watson Jordan love Matthew 50:35 Oh, that's crazy. Yeah golden probably should have had another like 120 yards last week. Oh, yeah, okay 50:43 Hank any thoughts on the international game? 50:45 You would be tuning in. I noticed you're not in Paris. I didn't make it to Paris. I had some had some commitments here 50:53 I'll be watching the game. I'm excited for this one Paris should be beautiful beautiful this time of year 50:59 Yeah, I 51:00 Like the Saints. Okay, like the Saints any particular reason 51:05 Saints French. Yeah home game Florida Lee. Yeah 51:09 Killamore called soccer the other football version of football, which is an awesome way to put it 51:14 Yeah, well said nailed it. He nailed it. All right back state side 51:19 So I think I actually main TV probably is gonna be what? 51:25 Ravens bangles. I think so but the other one that I have first listed that could you know, maybe be 51:31 Switch back and forth is Niners at Falcons Falcons plus three over under 50 and a half. I think this game is fascinating 51:38 because 51:40 the Niners defense has been very very good this year right like we've all been like very impressed with 51:46 the Niners defense being younger and looking good they're good at stopping the run but then you 51:53 also have to ask yourself okay who have the Niners played and that doesn't mean they're not good 51:58 but they played the Rams and the Rams tried to cheat time in Australia the Dolphins the Cardinals 52:05 the Broncos, the commanders and Seahawks. 52:09 The Seahawks, you know, that's a tough game, 52:12 but the other teams I listed, 52:13 especially we have some sound coming through, Max. 52:16 Other than the Seahawks, like those are some broken offenses. 52:22 The Broncos are a broken offense. 52:23 They are, the commanders kind of lit them up in the second. 52:25 I know, that's what I'm saying. 52:26 So are the Niners, is the Niners defense? 52:28 And basically it's a roundabout way of saying, 52:30 I feel like this could be a big Bajon game and 52:34 People maybe don't see it coming because the Niners have been so good and it does feel like one of those 52:41 Desperate NFL games where the Falcons really need this and the Niners short week travel road 52:48 They're gonna just try to survive this Mike Evans might not play 52:51 Which also the fact that it's a might and not just the Mike Evans isn't playing is insane 52:56 Yeah, like how are they just gonna keep bringing him out and hoping that keep stretching him 53:01 Yeah, like in between every play, but I think this might be a hungry dog pick Hank. I agree 53:05 Do you like this in the hungry dog? Yeah? 53:08 I mean the 49ers are a little scary because they're they're so good 53:11 But then that second half kind of has me thinking like they could 53:14 They played like that the whole game. They would have got smoked 53:16 Yeah, they looked gettable in the second half 53:18 They very easily could have lost that game and it is it were he Morris coach in the defense 53:23 It was recently with the Falcons. He might be thinking like okay, fuck these guys 53:29 I'm gonna show them what they're missing. Mm-hmm. And to your point 53:31 They might not actually be as good as we think they are on defense there. Yeah, they're 12 53:36 the teams that the 49ers have beaten are 53:40 12 22 and 1 yeah, so 53:43 The third easiest schedule by opponent win percentage through the season through say and again 53:47 I think the Niners are very good team 53:49 But there's got to be a moment and we'll get to it too with I actually think kind of the same with the Seahawks chief 53:54 So I think the Seahawks will win that game 53:56 There's got to be a moment where they get caught because this is just such a hard league to win in week week to week 54:01 So yeah, I don't disagree with that lost in all this discussion about that 54:05 We had at least on this show mostly centered around the the Jaden Daniels question in the second half and that fourth and two 54:12 Kyle Shanahan would have been very much to blame for giving that game away 54:16 not just the defense yeah the way that he called plays it did it felt like that 54:20 Super Bowl well it changed to when Mike Evans went out they they took no time off 54:25 the clock on offense in the second half and it was it was actually like a 54:30 disaster class that he put out there and he should have been under fire for if 54:33 we had been able to close that game out that would have been like 80% on 54:38 Kyle Shanahan shoulders yep the way he called that second half I don't know 54:42 Dan Quinn was there maybe just anytime Cal gets around reminders of that 54:46 Falcons team. He kind of reverts back to his old ways. I don't I 54:50 don't hate the Falcons at all in this game. Yeah. All right. I 54:53 got a dumb stat for everyone that is my my favorite dumb stats 54:56 are whenever we just pick an arbitrary number of games and then 54:59 we you know, look back and say he has more than more than this 55:03 guy. Brock Purdy arbitrary number of games first 55 55:07 games. Brock Purdy has nine more wins than Peyton Manning 55:11 in his first 55 games. He has more passing yards and Aaron 55:15 Rogers in their first 55 games and more touchdown passes than Josh Allen in their first 55 games, 55:22 which really, other than the Aaron Rodgers one, I don't know how impressive it is because Josh Allen 55:27 struggled his first year, Peyton Manning struggled, his team went one like three games, 55:32 but I think the Aaron Rodgers one's kind of interesting. Yeah, because that's that was 55:36 he was ready to go. Yeah, he was ready to go the time he started. Yeah, Brockport is really 55:39 good. Brock Parley is having an awesome season this year. Yeah. And yeah, yeah. McCaffrey 55:44 I feel like is back to what he was a season or two ago. Yep. He looks really good. This 55:49 is probably the best match of running backs that we'll have all year. Yeah. Do we have 55:53 anything to say about the Falcons do logo? Yeah. Yeah. I got a I got some thoughts on 55:58 it. Okay. What were your thoughts on it? Big Cat. I thought it looked kind of cool. 56:02 I didn't immediately think Nazi, but the internet did. I also think the internet's having 56:07 fun with it. It's a very different. There's a difference between the internet trying to be like 56:12 Falcons. How could you do this? And Falcons? This is funny. Let's Photoshop a bunch of pictures 56:16 of Hitler in front of a Falcons flag, which it's the latter. You know what it is for me? 56:21 It's the brown. Yeah. The brown color that they used really, really popped it off. I think 56:26 it's also the head of the the Falcon does kind of have imagery of like, I feel like the 56:32 Nazis use some of that imagery. This isn't the first time that the Falcons have done 56:36 this though really remember back in 2014 they posted like it their old logo maybe 56:40 it was like a throwback week or something and their old logo looked like the 56:44 Albanian flag okay and everybody was like what the fuck is this Falcons they 56:48 just they can't help themselves with this one I think it was the brown because 56:52 the black the red and max is just googling Nazi logos well I want to 56:58 I want to do a side-by-side okay well yeah there's like that's that's 57:01 appropriate for the for the situation it's the colors it's the brown the 57:04 Brown, see the see the see the now we're just looking at Nazi logos the did you see 57:11 Do you see the the one with the eagle? Yeah, you see the one with the eagle click the eagle with the eagle that one 57:16 Yeah, yeah, so like that type of yeah that type of imagery of the way not need is to be it's a falcon 57:23 Yeah, is it a falcon? I think they're not an eagle. Yeah, Nazi ones an eagle. Yeah 57:29 This is has nothing to do with the Eagles 57:31 Well, no, but the Nazi one date 57:34 They would chant E-A-G-L-E-S right before Hitler took the stage. 57:38 That's incorrect. 57:39 Okay. 57:40 All right, that's ours. 57:42 The tan color that they use on the redesign, and also the black stripe through the middle, 57:47 I just saw some of the funniest photoshop of Arthur Blank. 57:50 They took the mustache down a little bit. 57:52 My thoughts on it were they do have a history of hating Julian Edelman, so that kind of checks out. 57:59 And they love throwing bombs to London. 58:01 Yeah, there you go. 58:03 he's having a good year. It's true. It's very true. Uh is it so 58:08 this is Hungry Dog Hank? Not officially. Okay. This is the 58:13 logo. Get you off the Hungry Dog at all. They're not wearing 58:16 those jerseys, right? No, I don't. Just the armband. Yeah, 58:19 yeah. Uh okay. Let's go to the next game. I'm glad that 58:27 we've evolved as a society where we're not trying to like 58:29 get the cancel the the art director fired. Yeah. For 58:34 with it. Uh Browns Titans Titans plus one and a half over under 58:38 thirty seven and a half Titans had a hell of a week. So we had a 58:43 situation where a Titans player left practice to go get their 58:48 gun and then was talked down. So it was Jordan Elliott who has 58:52 now since been cut. This happened last week not this 58:55 week. He went to his car to retrieve his gun after a 58:58 practice altercation with uh JC Latham last Thursday. 59:02 day. He's been caught. I actually thought Robert Salad handled it pretty well with his press 59:07 conference being like, Hey, this is seem like a cry for help. And he's got no other issues. 59:12 You know, if anyone's looking for a defensive tackle, he's he had a bad lapse in judgment, 59:18 but he's worthy of assigning. Yeah. I mean, I don't think we know what 59:21 what actually happened and everything that led up to it. I don't think that they're 59:25 interested in sharing that, which I guess that's that's between them and the locker 59:30 room. But yeah, I think that as far as a coach goes, that's that's a great way to handle 59:35 it. Yeah, like don't don't just like cast judgment on him and fire him knowing that he's 59:40 in a mentally fragile state of mind. I don't think that's going to help anybody. Yeah, 59:43 this is one of those games over under 37 and a half. I mean, how how are they going to 59:48 score 40 points in this game? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know that the Browns 59:54 have that many fourth quarter points in them to get up to 38. Is that what you said? 59:57 Yeah, 38. The Browns defense is really good. The Titans defense is really good. 60:02 The Browns offense outside of the fourth quarter is really bad. The Titans offense just period is bad. 60:08 What am I missing? I know it's a lot. I know you can get fucked by like a pick six or a punt 60:13 return, but still, where are the points coming from in this game? This actually is a game. 60:18 When we do our cave parlay, we have to ban a pick from this game. Yep. There cannot be a 60:22 pick from this game. Agreed. I do not think there's going to be a plethora of touchdown 60:26 downscores in this game. 60:28 Do you know the last time that the Tennessee Titans 60:29 won back-to-back games? 60:32 Oh my God. 60:33 It's gotta be two years, right? 60:34 Can anybody guess? 60:36 I'm gonna say like early- 60:38 22. 60:39 24. 60:40 It was November of 2022. 60:42 Oh wow. 60:43 Hank. 60:43 Four years ago. 60:44 It's been four years since they've won two games. 60:46 You're a beast today, Hank. 60:46 You are a beast. 60:48 You're locked in. 60:48 Locked over. 60:49 He's locked in. 60:50 Do you see that Sean Watson had the whole team 60:52 to his house for a party? 60:53 That was kinda cool. 60:54 That was nice, yeah. 60:55 Is he dead the food trucks? Yeah, I'm not gonna be fooled by the shots and having having people over being like 61:01 What a teammate. Yeah, what a guy. I noticed he kept them outside. Yeah, are the are the Browns good? 61:08 Yeah, I think they're I think they're good ish 61:10 And I think that their schedule is about to get really good 61:13 They are the schedule this year like the schedule if you look at the Browns what they have for the next 61:18 I don't know month and a half or so. Mm-hmm. They can fatten up pretty nicely. Yeah, I 61:23 I don't know that I would trust them in a playoff game. No, but they could but I think they're good ish 61:30 What's their schedule coming up? I mean the time they have to win this one 61:33 This this is I think Dom did say this was a must win 61:36 And I would actually agree with him if you want to be a playoff team, you've got to win 61:39 So they play the Titans at the Steelers. That was a game that was not flexed. We kept commanders 61:46 Eagles Sunday night football. I'm sorry America at the Saints 61:52 They suck in the dome Texans Raiders Bengals. Okay. Yeah. Maybe the Browns. I don't I don't 62:00 know if the Browns are good. I think they're good ish. I but if they I'll say this if they 62:04 do lose this game, this would be the loss that like forget whatever good vibes you 62:09 had going. Yeah, you're probably you might lose out. I did see a crazy stat. So divisions 62:15 The divisions in which every team is above 500 through week six of the season in NFL history, the 2005 NFC East through six weeks they all were above 500, 2024 NFC North, 2025 NFC North, 2026 NFC North, 2026 62:35 AFC North that's the whole list. 62:37 Wow. 62:37 So the NFC North three years in a row and now the AFC North has joined them every single team above 500 through six weeks. 62:43 Yeah. 62:43 Yeah. Good division. Yeah. Really good division. I have a did you know? Oh, okay. Did you know 62:50 that Calvin Ridley is on the Titans? I didn't but I would have if you put a gun to my head 62:56 I would have been like, yeah, he's got him. If I said if I framed it, what team is Calvin 63:00 Ridley? Yeah, I would have just defaulted to the last team I remember him on. Right. 63:03 So he's still on the Titans. He didn't play that much last year. I don't think he's 63:07 played this year. No, I think he's much. He didn't play much last year. I know 63:10 They don't really have an offensive plan against the wide receivers. You might have played it a little bit against me 63:16 So he's hurt. I might be completely wrong. Yeah, no to two catches 35 yards against the Eagles. Oh, there you go 63:23 Nailed it, you know ball. I forgot that he was he was on the Titans until I read the injury report today 63:29 Hand up and it just made me think of you know, you listed like all the stuff that's happened with the Titans 63:35 Since Mike fraybles left. Yeah 63:37 it just made me reach back and think about all the different old formerly really good 63:45 wide receivers that Titans have signed throughout the years because it's it's like unique to 63:50 that franchise that they bring in a Calvin Ridley type who probably will still be good 63:55 somewhere whatever his next team is maybe he'll be traded at some point but they had 64:00 like Julio Jones. Yep. They had Deandre Hopkins. They had 64:05 Andre Johnson. Mm hmm. Tyler Lockett. Mm hmm. Did the 64:09 retirement tour in Nashville. Eric Decker, I believe was there 64:13 Randy Moss. This is what the Titans do. Yeah, they get this 64:17 type of receiver. And then they end up flipping them. And then 64:21 they usually go somewhere else and have like one last like 64:24 decent run as a receiver somewhere else. Yeah, Calvin 64:27 Ridley was a little different though. A little bit. Yeah. A 64:29 a little bit younger. 64:30 Yeah, I think he was, I guess he came in 2024. 64:34 It's like basically the, they're the hospital. 64:37 Yeah, he was, yeah. 64:40 He came there a little bit younger, that's true. 64:42 It's now like, we kind of forget that he's on the team, 64:44 but he's still really good. 64:46 He, well, I don't know if he's still really good. 64:48 If he's healthy, I don't know about that. 64:51 I think if he's healthy, he's good. 64:52 There'll be some team that picks him up 64:54 as a piece at the trade deadline, I think. 64:57 And he'll probably be a valuable contributor. 64:59 They he's the Titans are basically the the hospital like you know an old person goes to the hospital gets out of the hospital 65:07 They're like oh, they're actually gonna live for a little bit longer than it's like all right. It's over. Yeah, I'm at home 65:11 It's done. Yep 65:13 There's a stop before they are the broken hip place 65:16 We just need to get him we need to get their hip fixed and then they'll come back home. Just keep him happy 65:21 Yeah, okay, this game will not be a main 65:25 sound game I would say this is gonna be a tough tough watch right yeah by the way 65:32 to Sean Watson on the Browns hangout for his house for the victory Monday they 65:36 were talking about party at number four is crib so we made it happen guys always 65:40 know that my house is always open whenever they want to come by and hang 65:43 out we can do it every week number four is crib I love that they just kind of 65:46 bullied their way into yeah him throw in a party he said it's one of the 65:50 teams they've ever been on. Also, what do we think about Todd 65:54 Monk and calling him Sean? That might be the rebranding he 65:58 needs. Yeah, not just Sean. I didn't know that he was Sean. 66:01 Yeah. He said, he said, uh, first off, I had no talking 66:05 about the party. First off, I had no idea. I had no idea 66:07 where he tried to throw the crib out there. That was pretty 66:10 cool. It's Todd Monk and like coaching. He's coaching. 66:14 Yeah. He tried to throw the crib out there. That was 66:17 pretty cool. I didn't know anything about it. We're in 66:19 in the locker room and I think somebody mentioned post game 66:21 something like a party at Sean's or something. 66:24 And then he said, yeah, come on over 66:25 and I thought he was just joking. 66:28 Party at Sean's. 66:29 Party at Sean's, I like it. 66:30 I mean, Sean Watson is a totally different player. 66:33 Yeah. 66:33 That might be the one thing he needs. 66:35 Just drop the duck. 66:36 I don't hate it. 66:38 Sean Watson. 66:39 We should just start doing that 66:40 with somebody here at the office. 66:41 Just say like party at Max's. 66:43 Yeah, party at Max's. 66:44 And just if we keep saying it, 66:45 then he has to have a party. 66:47 Party of 99s party at 99s. Yeah. Yeah. Meeple 99s. Everyone show up. There's one 99 66:55 99 and he 66:57 Unfortunately, no longer work party of plugs party of bugs. We should we should do a smush party at Zach's 67:04 What's a smush party? Smush party. I think something that was popularized by the great philosopher Nikki smokes 67:10 It's a party in an apartment where it's so packed that everyone's smushed together and you can't move 67:16 Okay, yeah, I'm gonna pass on the smush party. Yeah, it's good. Let's get smushed less 67:21 Yeah, kind of like elbow room shoulder room, you know, yeah, let's have an air party like a little little air between everybody 67:26 Yeah, Riverside Park with your FaceTime party. I like to do a smush party at Zach's 67:30 Just you walk in and just like literally nowhere to go, but we're having a great time. I'm like, I might get a hotel 67:37 Yeah, I don't know 67:39 Okay, next up 67:40 Colts at Vikings, Colts at Vikings. 67:44 The Vikings are six and a half point favorites. 67:46 The over-under is 41 and a half. 67:48 This is who, what do you believe in more? 67:53 The Colts having fired Chris Ballard 67:56 and Carly Ursay Gordon, is that a name? 67:59 Yes, Carly Ursay Gordon, who she is queen. 68:02 Basically telling the whole team like you're all fucked 68:04 if you don't start winning games. 68:06 Or the Vikings coming off a bye 68:10 and potentially using that by week to self scout 68:14 and have a better offensive plan going forward, 68:16 which their offense did look better 68:18 the week before the buy against the Saints, I believe. 68:21 So which one do we think is more 68:23 of a compelling argument here? 68:26 I don't know, they sound equally reliable to me. 68:29 Yeah. 68:29 I'm gonna go with the Vikings on this one, big guy. 68:31 Okay, I think so too. 68:32 I'm gonna go with competent coaching 68:34 and a very, very solid defense. 68:36 It is like a clash of two different styles 68:38 because the Vikings their games are the most consistent finishing in the under 68:45 they're averaging six point one points under the under the total and that's 68:50 the last in the NFL the Colts are eight point four points over average on the 68:56 total and a lot of times in the Colts games there's some there's some bad 69:02 plays that lead to points being scored yeah is what I'm getting at so I think 69:06 I'm going to go with the Vikings and probably the under this one. 69:08 The Vikings lead basically every single stat in team defense, scoring defense, EPA per play, 69:15 success rate allowed, past success rate allowed, red zone, convert rate allowed. 69:19 It's like first all the way down. 69:22 I think I'm going to go with the Vikings as well here. 69:24 I, they also got healthy. 69:27 I think that that's the bi week came at a good time for them. 69:31 Has there ever been a bi week that didn't come at a good time? 69:33 It's always a good time. 69:33 It's always a good time. 69:34 But I think Jordan Addison is back. 69:36 I think Jordan Mason is back. 69:37 I think Hawkinson's back. 69:39 I think, I can't remember, there's like a whole list. 69:42 They basically all got healthy. 69:43 So Panthers are the other team 69:45 that got a lot of healthy guys coming out of the bye week. 69:48 Yeah, so right now the Colts, they have an interim GM. 69:51 Ed Dodds is their interim GM. 69:53 Okay, that's just a replace a GM, yeah. 69:56 It sounds like the best job ever. 69:57 Yeah. 69:58 It's like you are a GM. 70:00 Like you have to address immediate needs 70:02 but you're not allowed to do anything 70:03 that would impact the future at all. Ed Dodds. You get the big office for a little bit. You 70:07 get the office. They probably don't put your nameplate on the office door though. Okay. 70:11 But you're like substitute teacher. Ed Dodds was with the Colts for all of it. 70:18 He's been involved with all of it. So he is probably reminded on a daily basis 70:22 don't get comfortable. Yeah. I would imagine Miss Erse Gordon walks past his office every 70:27 day and was like, get your fucking feet off the desk. I don't want you to put 70:31 put your name on anything, don't get comforted, 70:33 don't even sit behind the desk. 70:35 Edward Dodds. 70:36 Yeah, old Eddie Dodds. 70:38 Hmm, okay, I'm not gonna believe in Edward Dodds. 70:41 Yeah, there's nothing he can do, right? 70:42 Is he allowed to? 70:43 I guess he will be trading, guys. 70:45 So that's what I was thinking is like, 70:47 trade deadline, if they're really gonna blow everything up, 70:49 there are some names on that team 70:51 that might be Quentin Nelson, I imagine. 70:54 A lot of teams would want him. 70:56 Jonathan Taylor. 70:56 Jonathan Taylor, a lot of teams would want him. 70:58 So I would imagine Ed Dodds might, 71:01 do you think they're gonna let him do those trades 71:03 or is that gonna be from the ownership? 71:05 Oh, I think that if, I think when Ed Dodd walks in, 71:07 you gotta hand him the keys. 71:10 Ed, you take this. 71:11 When you get a call from Ed Dodds, 71:14 don't pick up the phone 71:15 because he's gonna fucking fleece you. 71:17 Did Ed Dodds do it again? 71:19 What if Ed Dodds fleeced Howie? 71:21 Oh my God. 71:22 Howie's probably called Ed Dodds already. 71:25 Yeah, he probably how he's probably buttered up at Dodds being like, you know, you I really think that you're good for this job 71:31 You should keep it. I'm scared of dealing with you. Yeah. Are you and you're probably gonna you're gonna fleece me on this one 71:37 And we've been how am I gonna sell this one to mr. Laurie? Yeah, we've known each other a long time Ed 71:42 You're not gonna you're not gonna screw me over, right? You promise? 71:45 How he's got his work ahead of them. Yeah, you think that there's gonna be some trades 71:50 Shepter said that he expects the Eagles to be both buyers and sellers. Oh, I love that little flea market. That's interesting 71:57 Yeah, they're just having a garage sale water or anything you want 72:01 probably 72:03 That's actually sounds when you put it like that. I'm in how much you want for sake one 72:10 Well not for you. He's not for sale for you. Why not well that's against that's against the law to discriminate 72:16 It's a customer like that. Well, you guys that don't need help at running back Seahawks. You're for set your for set heat for sale 72:24 The price has got to be right. What's the price? 72:28 starts with a 72:30 Six second. Oh 72:32 You're sounding like a Dodd right now 72:34 Starts with a strong and a hard bargain. That was a really good. Oh, yeah, that's that's the sound you got to make 72:39 I mean, I was pretending like I really don't want to give it up. It's like, yeah, it's really got to be yeah 72:44 I don't know a second chill Ed 72:47 Damn 72:48 Dr. Dodds the Dodge maker. What if I countered with it and said I'll give you a fourth knowing that say Kwame Barclay 72:54 Only two times in his career has gone over 1,005 yards 72:59 Damning if true pass. I'll keep them. Okay. Okay. Have fun with your less than 1,005 yard runner 73:06 well 73:07 Except for the two times. Well, the two times were nice and one of them was with the Giants 73:11 Yeah, that's your some people are calling him an offensive line merchant. You can only run behind that big bad offensive line 73:17 Yeah, see you later. There's been eddodds. Mm-hmm and said that not made dots 73:23 We're gonna see take it up with that 73:25 Seyquan 73:26 Yeah, hey listen listen 73:29 Howie you want to keep trying out Seyquan behind that offensive line and we'll see what happens 73:34 He's gonna have a bad year and then he's it's gonna be I'm gonna call you back in in April. It's gonna be a fifth 73:41 Ed Dodd out that's what he ends every phone call any he just hung up on how this 73:46 isn't how we talk let's get back let's get back to the colts you do a really 73:50 bad job is how if I was how he listened to this I would I would want you fired 73:53 I'd be freaking out it's good thing I'm not how Max isn't allowed to do how 73:56 anymore I'm not how he how he is how you're not how he either I'm at Dodd 74:00 yeah you're not at Dodd no you know who's not at Dodds you have he has 74:06 cooler sunglasses than you that's for sure at Dodds is a fucking man look 74:10 Look at those sunglasses. 74:11 She's getting her dots on. 74:11 Those are tactical. 74:12 I would love to get her dots on. 74:14 And she's like, so what are you doing? 74:16 I really do want to know what the fuck an interim GM does. 74:19 Like, what are your responsibilities? 74:21 And more importantly, what are not your responsibilities? 74:23 So did you get a nice parking spot at least, said? 74:27 He probably did. 74:28 But he probably installed the sign on his own. 74:30 Yeah. 74:31 Yeah. 74:32 Or his kids maybe drew him one in class. 74:35 Yeah. 74:36 Our daddy's the GM. 74:37 World's best GM, yeah. 74:38 Yeah, all right dolphins jets jets minus four and a half over under thirty nine and a half memes 74:43 This is a must win 74:47 There's a must win and this is a things are gonna get really dark if they lose. Oh 74:53 Yeah, like extremely 74:56 Like how dark so dark midnight. It's just it'll be hockey and basketball season 75:01 It's always darkest before the dawn though with this put I aren't glad on the hot seat if he loses this game 75:07 Yeah. Well, I think he'd be solidly fired by the this is a firing game. Yeah. Oh, we're 75:16 doing a firing. Not a firing game. He gets to coach the entire season. But quiet, quiet 75:23 fire. I've got a question for you, memes. The fact that he was just fine $250,000, which 75:28 isn't technically a fine. The NFL is doing this thing with some coaches where they find 75:32 I think it was Siriani, Vrable, and Aaron Glenn might be missing somebody else. 75:38 They find them $250,000, but they get the money back if they behave themselves. 75:44 Do you think if Aaron Glenn got fired mid-season before he got the money back, do you think 75:49 the NFL would give it back to him? 75:51 I think so, but I think he should still keep chirping the refs. 75:55 Okay. 75:56 I think it's discussed. 75:57 I don't know why they find him $250,000. 75:59 And was it for the red flag waving thing, where he dangled it? 76:05 No. 76:06 No. 76:07 He must have said something. 76:08 I think it might have been the Packers game. 76:10 Okay. 76:10 He was in there here. 76:11 But it looks like they only find Italians. 76:14 And Aaron Glenn. 76:15 Yeah. 76:16 No. 76:16 He's Italian. 76:18 Yep. 76:19 He's Italian. 76:20 I think once you take the jet's job, you become Italian. 76:22 That's true. 76:23 Yeah. 76:23 I read a pretty bad stat about the jets. 76:26 Oh no. 76:27 I do think the judge should smoke the dolphins. 76:29 There's a lot of stats that I read the other week 76:31 that are promising shows that they've turned a lot 76:33 of things around from last year to this year. 76:35 One bad stat for them is that they've been outscored 76:39 a hundred to six in the final two minutes 76:41 of the second quarter. 76:43 Not great for end of half management. 76:47 That's bad. 76:47 Yeah, the last year. 76:48 That was also said on Sunday show. 76:50 Okay, well, he reset it. 76:51 I don't know, I'm just. 76:53 I forgot that we said things. 76:55 Okay, sounds like you're coming at LG right now. I'm not number. Okay a hundred to six 77:02 Gc gas as first as first reported by memes guys is calling you LG. She gas was calling you LG ball Paul 77:12 What is my LG what is the first thing you think of when you think of this matchup? I have one thing in one thing only 77:21 Chad Pennington no I 77:24 Think of the Jets fans doing two of fingers to Jake Marsh 77:27 Yeah. Yeah. I forgot about that. I did two fingers to me. Oh, that 77:35 that's where this rivalry is. Yeah. That's my that's my my 77:39 number one memory of this matchup. It was two didn't even get 77:43 concussed in the game against Jets. It was just after the two 77:46 of fingers. I think the Jets scored and someone just 77:48 turned around. Yeah, it was like four weeks after the two 77:50 of fingers. Yeah, it's a reminder. Marsh got two of 77:52 fingered by a Jets fan at the game and forever forever changed the course of his 78:02 life yeah we're looking up Jake Marsh post right now and just pulled out to 78:07 see if he's posted anything just pulled up the same the same five tweet the 78:10 legendary same five tweet same five same five hang the banner same five the 78:19 The Dolphins made some news this week. 78:21 What, how so? 78:21 They had a tryout. 78:22 Oh. 78:23 Who they tried out? 78:24 Who? 78:25 Justin Kaepernick? 78:26 Justin Tucker. 78:27 Ah! 78:28 Justin Tucker. 78:29 That's kind of a perfect place for him to go. 78:31 Yeah, I mean, they didn't sign him. 78:33 They signed Zane Gonzalez, 78:34 the kicker, the guy that's got OCD. 78:37 But he got, he got tried out. 78:39 He did get tried out, yep. 78:40 Yep. 78:40 Which is big. 78:41 So there's that. 78:41 I think that's his second tryout. 78:43 Okay. 78:43 With no, no job, but he's still, 78:46 he's still trying. 78:47 He's trying out. 78:48 Mm-hmm. Yeah, I feel like yeah, you get a couple tryouts then maybe someone will get desperate. I don't know what the Rams, maybe 78:56 Yeah, I mean there you want to do the super team thing. They're getting close to it 78:59 Feels like they they might they might take a kick the old can down the road there would we can't find any two of fingers 79:06 The clip it would be a great what I was trying to find I couldn't find it. Yeah, sorry to a fingers 79:13 So you don't do to a fingers. You don't do to this is fucked up 79:17 All right bucks Panthers Panthers minus three over under 44 and a half. I think Baker's back. Yep 79:23 So it seems like he's gonna play which definitely makes this a watchable game. No offense Jalen Daniels did his job went one-on-one 79:30 But Zack how are we feeling with Baker potentially being coming back? And this is a divisional game if you win this game 79:40 Not gonna say seasons back on but definitely 79:44 some some feelings about like hey we're gonna look at the standings we're gonna 79:47 look at the what's coming up like you'd be you'd be two and five the Panthers 79:52 would be three and three you'd only be two two behind them it would get some 79:57 feelings we yeah wouldn't be all the way back on but definitely lights aren't 80:01 out because if we win this game we have another divisional game the next 80:03 week so if we look good here Baker's back we get this divisional win and I 80:09 I mean, our division is what it is. 80:11 I know we've been over that before. 80:12 I'll feel a certain type of way if we go two for two 80:15 on the next two games. 80:17 Okay. Certainly. 80:18 Okay. 80:19 But I'm not, I'm definitely not gonna overreact 80:21 like I did last week. 80:21 Last week I got way too excited. 80:22 I thought we were back for real after one win. 80:24 I mean, you guys were on 16 to three though. 80:27 Yeah, which makes me worse though, right? 80:30 Like, should have won the game. 80:32 Yeah. 80:32 Yeah. 80:33 The book is out for this game. 80:36 Chris Godwin, maybe he hasn't been featured a lot. 80:39 This season, so maybe he'll he'll get going. I 80:42 I mean, I think the Panthers are just good and I think like I said, they're getting a lot healthier 80:49 Some of the Bucks might have been sick this week though. There was an illness going around. Okay locker room 80:54 So Bucky, I think was sick. Can't see was sick a little bit. McCollum was a little sick 81:00 So I don't know if it was the flu 81:02 But you're right the Panthers are getting healthy their defense is getting healthy and their defense has been really good 81:07 Besides that first game where the bears lit them up, would you school like 59 points? Yeah 81:13 Besides that game the Panthers defense has been really really good and injured at the same time 81:17 Mm-hmm, so I think they're gonna just continue to I think the Panthers are just a good team 81:20 We saw the emergence of a new version of Bryce young last week 81:24 Or maybe they just told us about this new version. Have you heard of fun Bryce? No, so that's what oh my god 81:31 I want in that's what some of the guys on the team are calling this new version of Bryce young is is fun 81:35 Bryce date Bryce what yes it's it's a date Mike from the office yeah so he drew 81:42 an offside penalty I think with a hard count last week and I think Nick Scott 81:46 the safety was saying yeah that's that's fun Bryce that does that now he's a new 81:51 guy is playing like a brand new human being I'm in on so watch out for for 81:54 fun Bryce because he has been fun this year yeah he's been a very fun 81:58 quarterback. Fun Bryce sounds awesome. Yeah. I'm in on fun 82:03 Bryce. Okay. Uh have I hit any hungry dogs by the way? Are 82:07 you going to bet the Jets Dolphins game? Yeah, I bet the 82:11 dolphins. I'm scared that the Jets are screwing the hungry 82:14 dog. I think three times this year and I think I've sworn 82:15 off that they're not going to be in it so I don't think the 82:19 bucks the bucks will probably be in it. I really want to do 82:23 the dolphins but I have multiple times been like 82:27 Jets are done. Jets are done with the hungry dog. You just do it again 82:33 It's the dolphins man, but I like the box a lot like the box 82:40 Baker back. Mm-hmm. Their defense hasn't been bad Zach 82:45 No, do you have me bad? I think it's gonna be important to get 82:49 Franchise quarterback back. I think there's a lot more to that than what people are kind of offering to yeah 82:54 Okay, next game. We have the Bengals Ravens. This will be main TV 82:59 Ravens minus one and a half over under 48 and a half I so Lamar is not gonna play. I don't know 83:07 I think he might but he was also didn't practice had a limp. Yeah, what's going on there? 83:13 So apparently during the media portion today, he didn't have a limp. That's that's what we've come 83:18 to know. It's like we're analyzing whether or not he's walking okay. That's okay. So this 83:24 It feel like this happens every single year. This is Lamar. It's every week now with Lamar. It's like we don't know nobody knows 83:30 My my guess until like two hours ago was that he probably wasn't gonna play 83:34 Yeah, and then I saw that he didn't have a limp 83:36 But I know Lamar gets weird about it like if he's not a hundred percent. He doesn't want to play because like he's 83:42 Obviously at his best when he's 100% 83:44 Yeah, and I think injuries disproportionately affect Lamar over other quarterbacks 83:49 Yeah, because of the style that he likes to play 83:51 So I mean if this is stoop Huntley the Ravens are in trouble. I think it might be Snoop 83:55 Wait, it's it's it's like 50-50. Who knows and the Ravens will be like not only if they lose this this game is feels very very important for 84:03 the division because and I feel like 84:07 They always have high-scoring games that not is that right? I 84:11 For some reason in my mind, maybe it's just like one or two 84:13 Maybe it was like two years ago where they remember there was like a game in the 40s. I want to say yeah 84:19 All right, look max is looking it up 24. Nothing is not a high scoring game 84:25 32 14 35 34 38 41 38 that so 2024 is the year I'm thinking 20 to 34 to 84:34 Yeah, yeah, 20 34. Yeah, I'm 27 20. Yeah. Yeah, so they're they play I'm gonna take the over in this game 84:39 And I'm gonna hope that Lamar plays and then if he doesn't 84:42 Maybe I'll take the over and the Bengals so that way it's like if Lamar doesn't play maybe I can go one 84:47 won that way. Is this a is this a revenge game for the Bengals? How so? Against 84:52 Trey Hendrickson? Oh yeah. Joe Burrow said he's probably very excited to hit me. 84:57 Yeah, I think it's like it's not Trey Hendrickson. What does Trey Hendrickson 85:00 have to be upset about? They paid him a lot of money. Mm-hmm. I think it's more 85:04 the Bengals are like, hey dude, we paid you a lot of money. Yeah. We're mad at 85:08 you. You're a good pass rusher. You're an incomplete defender. We didn't 85:11 want to pay you Max Crosby money because Max Crosby's better. Right. 85:16 sorry that seems fair all all the way around so yeah yeah okay yeah I think I 85:22 like the Bengals in this game what are you thinking Hank that's a hungry dog 85:25 bangles bangles I want to ride the hungry dog this week I don't know why 85:32 we'll see oh no you got a gross one coming up it's not Texas minus 10 over 85:40 under 42 and oh my god. Hank, you're going to take the Giants money line. 85:47 Again, this Thursday, I'm not I'm not committing to these hungry dogs on this 85:51 podcast, but I love the Giants. Nine. What? Tell us why you love the Giants. 85:57 Jason McCarthy was phenomenal last week. You look great. The Texans are not 86:00 saints defense, but the Texans are not great. The Texans also are coming from 86:05 from a very high leverage game abroad traveling back maybe a little hang over there God damn 86:12 it this might be because I love the Texans going into this week and I this might be one 86:17 of those game ten and a half right. 86:18 It's a lot of points. 86:19 It's a lot of points that you're taking money line. 86:22 Yeah. 86:22 Oh my god. 86:24 You're a psycho. 86:25 I can't. 86:25 Sick. 86:26 I don't see Harbaugh getting blown out in this game. 86:29 I'm losing. 86:30 I do. 86:31 You do. 86:31 Yeah. 86:32 I mean I just. 86:33 J. J. McCarthy. I see getting blown out. Did you not watch the fourth quarter? I did on pace for a thousand yards 86:39 I think that my 16 touchdowns. I'm gonna say this. I think it might be the the get-right game for the Texans defense 86:46 Okay, I'm saying 86:49 alternate 86:51 total 86:52 Under ten points for the Giants. You were just not a believer in nine. I just got delisted to yeah 86:59 That's back on the list. God damn it. They think I'm rooting for the Falcons as much as I'm saying nine 87:05 damn it 87:07 As an underdog of above three points John Harbor is 13 and four against the spread his last 17 games that spot 87:14 Over the last decade, I would say that the Ravens were probably a better team than the Giants 87:18 But still that's significant 87:20 That's a significant. Yeah, right. I would say so 87:23 um tank del back tank del back which is incredible i still remember like that was what two years ago 87:30 yeah i think i was on the way to the uh tennessee ohio state playoff game in columbus and i was 87:38 watching on my phone in the car and i was like oh my god that was disgusting yeah it was it was 87:42 nasty it was as bad as you remember it was somehow worse the i would say the the problem 87:47 for the giants in this game not a nine problem okay maybe i'll stay delisted the giants haven't 87:53 been great again. 87:54 I already made sure you're back on the last. 87:56 No, stop it. 87:59 I stop it. 88:00 The the the Texans should be able to run in this game is what 88:03 I'm going to say. 88:04 And that does help significantly C.J. 88:07 Straub when they have that balance attack. 88:08 C.J. Straub's been playing good. 88:09 He's good again. 88:10 I hope they can run the ball. 88:11 They're they haven't been able to. 88:14 I'm just like the last four years. 88:16 I'm sad for James. 88:17 It feels like that's that's it. 88:19 Did you hear did you hear what D'Amico Ryan said about 88:22 the quarterback situation before the game. No, I feel like it was meant as a 88:25 compliment and to me it's actually insulting to both players. Okay. He said 88:30 for us it doesn't really matter who plays quarterback. Okay. They're not the same 88:35 style of quarterback at all. Although nine was doing a little jamus like peak 88:40 jamus just chucking just winging it. So maybe he's got only way that they're 88:45 remotely similar as they both take a lot of chances with the football but 88:48 like in terms of style of play, I don't know. It feels like he might have been trying to 88:55 communicate that as a positive. But I bet behind the scenes, he's using that as like 89:00 a very, very negative with his players being like, we're going to get we're going to fatten 89:04 up. Yeah, this is that's what I'm saying. It's 89:06 going to fatten up on picks. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, maybe a get right game 89:10 for them the by the way. Malik neighbors last two games. He has gone 11 catches 20 targets 11 catches 89:20 for 121 yards 12 catches 165 yards and the game before that six catches for 112 yards. He's been 89:29 awesome. Do you want to hear a really depressing list because I have the list of every Giants QB 89:35 Malik neighbors caught a pass from. You ready for it? Yeah. Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, Drew 89:42 Locke, Tim Boyle, Russell Wilson, Jackson Dart, James Winston, JJ McCarthy. He's only played 25 89:51 games in the NFL. That's eight different quarterbacks. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. And credit to Russell 89:56 Wilson, I completely had forgotten about that. Tim Boyle was a name. Tim Boyle was a name. 90:02 Mm-hmm. That was I don't remember the Tim. I think he was TV 12. Was he TV 12? 90:07 Yeah, I think he was I think he were number 12 with Tim Boyle 90:10 Shout out Tim Boyle. So so Max are you gonna bet the Giants? 90:16 Me? Yeah 90:17 No, my PMT pick is gonna be a Texans 90:21 Okay, so you don't believe in the nine either. I just believe in the Texans. I think it's gonna be a high-scoring game 90:25 There you go. Okay. So you're you're you're playing both sides here. No, I'm not well. Yeah 90:30 I mean you think you I don't I don't believe in the Giants defense. You know what match 90:34 We'll give you that but you have to take the over to prove that you believe in nine 90:37 I got to pick what I want to pick because if you really believe the nine like you just said that you did you take the over 90:42 It should hit easily. I have another 90:44 Total that I like better than that, but you more confidence in them than nine. I believe in nine 90:50 So you don't at all 18. I wish we could by the way bet tank del said that it doesn't matter what? 90:58 What the first catch he has like it could be two yards, five yards, he said, I'm spiking 91:03 the ball. 91:03 Hell yeah. 91:04 I wonder if he's going to get a penalty. 91:06 Wish we could bet that. 91:06 Yeah. 91:07 But I'll be happy for him. 91:09 I mean, that's, it's pretty crazy. 91:10 His leg was just basically off. 91:12 Yeah. 91:12 Good for him. 91:13 Okay. 91:13 Before we get to the afternoon games, we are brought to you by our friends at 91:18 Twisted Tea. 91:19 It's football season. 91:20 We've never been more ready for game day. 91:22 We're bringing Twisted Tea along for the ride. 91:24 all season long. I 91:59 think we can all agree the, uh, primo game is going to be the Packers and the lions lions 92:04 minus three over under 53 and a half. Did you guys see, uh, the news about Sam Laporta 92:11 wanting a new contract? No, is that a distraction? Is that recent news? Yeah. It came out 92:19 on Wednesday like after we recorded our last everyone was talking about it turns 92:24 out he wants a new contract what's the new contract people were talking about it 92:27 after we were right yeah there's no way that we would have known that this was a 92:31 news right yeah couldn't have commented it on Wednesday show now I mean I guess 92:36 he I guess he wants to get paid yeah whoops although not whoops because he I 92:42 think he wanted to say that and he does want to get paid yeah so he clearly 92:46 Knew what he was doing and it's not that it's even necessarily bad thing guy wants to get paid 92:51 Detroit the lines kind of did the same people want to come on this show and give us clips like oh, yeah 92:55 Yeah, I was thinking the same no whoops at all. We know we didn't trick him into saying anything 93:00 No, it wasn't a gotcha. I think the question was is this your handwriting, sir? 93:04 Yeah, I'm all in on us using this platform as a way for people to ask to get paid more. Yes 93:09 Yeah, a hundred percent. That's it. I like to say I'm a party. That was fun having them on 93:12 Yeah, we should definitely have him on again. 93:14 When you say that, Max, Brandon is going to come back on real soon. 93:19 Brady Walker, not Brady Walker. 93:22 Also, you know, Detroit radio, TV, social media, you're welcome. 93:28 Give you a full day. 93:30 The Lions, they did the same thing with with Hawkinson, right? 93:33 Yeah. 93:34 They don't like paying tight ends. 93:37 So that was a big story. 93:38 I think the bigger story for the Lions is that I believe Brian Branch might be coming back 93:44 I've been thinking that for the last like four weeks, which would be massive. He's so their defense 93:51 Lions off a buy. I just want to I just want to bet on points in this game 93:55 I think Jameer Gibbs is gonna have a hundred receiving yards. I 94:01 Think is Detroit five and oh to the over this year. I believe they are lots of points 94:05 It always starts slow because they're leading the league and scoring, I believe, and they're allowing the most yards. Yeah 94:11 the I 94:12 Kind of want to also 94:15 Just wait for the game to start and lines come out slow and then just bet the lines and bet the over 94:20 Yeah, it feels like all those games go the same Josh Jacobs also back 94:25 Looks like he's gonna play right. I 94:28 Know that he's back. I don't know about didn't show a lot of remorse. I don't know about being active for the game 94:32 I don't know how that's gonna work out. LaFleur did the thing where he just kind of said 94:37 Second chances. Yeah, he said I think a lot of times you get in a situation where you might not make the right decision 94:42 I think people learn from their mistakes now listen 94:45 I am a believer in second chances and people should learn from their mistakes 94:48 But this was more than just like a little tiny bitty oopsie like oh, I jay walked. I 94:54 Think that uh, yeah, I forgot to fill the car up with gas 94:58 It does. I feel like if we if the video came out. Yes, there might be a lot of people that said 95:04 This is not just a little mistake. And again, I don't know. I said might because I I haven't seen I don't know 95:09 What's on the video? Yeah, but the footage exists and they're trying very hard to keep it secret 95:15 It it could end up being we remember the last time that that happened with Ray Rice. It was like, oh 95:20 Well, that's really really bad. Mm-hmm. We don't want him representing our team. Yeah, the league 95:25 So, yeah, I don't know I don't I don't think that we should rush to say like this guy's 95:30 deserving of a second chance until you've actually seen what I'd agree. 95:35 Also, Josh Jacobs said he he basically was like, I think six games is a lot. 95:40 Shouldn't have been spent that long, really? 95:42 So he he in a weird way. 95:44 He's the victim. 95:45 Yeah. 95:45 He said, I think six games a lot, honestly, but that's not really up to me to decide 95:48 I'm grateful to be playing. 95:49 So that's not something I'm really arguing or petitioning. 95:52 I guess or sorry it would have been yeah, I show remorse something like that 96:00 Dan Campbell has a chance to make history today. Okay 96:04 To be the first person to pull off the LaFleur sweep. Oh 96:08 Take out both brothers. Oh both brothers in a year. Oh never been done before 96:13 Because they've never been both head coaches before but that's pretty cool. It would be the first person to do it 96:17 I think the floor sweep 96:19 They should raise a banner. They should be both of well 96:22 I guess he still has to play LaFleur again, so you don't want to yeah 96:27 That's true. It's actually yeah, it's the hardest LaFleur sweep 96:30 Yeah, be a premature LaFleur sweep if he if he wins this one and then loses the next one 96:35 Right because Matt LaFleur is like the final boss in a video game. You beat him, but oh wait. He's coming back 96:39 Yeah, you have to do round two now. You got to go to Lambo. Yeah. Yeah 96:44 Do you guys have any thoughts on this game? I 96:47 like Detroit. Yeah, Alphabye. Alphabye, yeah. I also feel like, I mean, I think the Packers are, 96:54 I think the Packers are better than what we saw obviously against the Falcons when everyone was 96:59 like, oh, this team is just dead. But I also think it's kind of almost overcorrected, 97:04 where everyone's like, they're, they're totally fixed. I don't know if that's fully the case. 97:09 Wait, this is going to be a little chess match here, because the defense of the Packers, 97:13 They're coordinators, Jonathan Gannon, right? 97:16 And the Lions offensive coordinator is Drew Petsing. 97:20 Yep, they were together. 97:21 They were together and they practiced 97:22 against each other every day in Arizona. 97:24 Yep. 97:25 I like that. 97:25 Yep. 97:27 Yeah, I like that too. 97:29 I'm going to take the over, I think. 97:31 When is Michael Parsons coming back? 97:33 I don't think his practice window is open, isn't it? 97:35 It's kind of weird. 97:35 Yeah. 97:36 I know that he's a full-time podcaster. 97:38 All injuries are different, but Patrick Holmes is 6-0. 97:44 Around week six or seven. No, that's from July 28th max 97:49 That's 97:50 That was when he was supposed to come back down. Okay. Good point. Hey, that was the first thing. Hey, let's not make a big argument about this 97:56 You're right 97:57 How about this one when I'm nine 98:01 Chance a realistic chance of returning week nine 98:04 Okay, I'm excited to watch this game though. I 98:07 don't know I 98:09 Think I'm just gonna take the over maybe a lot of maybe this is the game we double up on touchdown scores 98:13 Yeah, feels like a lot of touchdowns feels like a lot of touchdowns. Okay Rams at Raiders Raiders plus three and a half over 98:20 Under is 98:22 48 and a half 98:25 The Rams have to win this game right guys, right? 98:30 But if they lose this game, it's over 98:32 Yes, I don't think they're a playoff team if they lose this game 98:35 I know that's probably a little ridiculous to say but 98:39 two and five and this is like you you could see if we say these are the two 98:44 easiest games in their schedule you know with with the Cardinals last week the 98:48 Raiders this week I you got it you got to win this game they might not be a 98:53 playoff team right now I know as it stands well though they aren't right 98:56 if the season ended today yeah yeah but I mean like the the FBI playoff odds 99:02 form are only at 35% now yeah and it's crazy because they're like the 99:06 actual statistics and everything. 99:10 They're still a really strong to statistical team 99:13 like a top 10 offense, top 10 defense, special team stinks. 99:17 But they have outgain their opponents by a league best 99:20 644 yards this season. 99:23 Do you want to know who has the worst total yard differential? 99:27 Like the most negative? 99:29 Yeah. Yeah. 99:32 Any guesses that Titans jets 99:34 So I know you're minus six fifty. It's hurt been injured. That's a that's a big difference 99:42 Yeah been injured that had a lot of injuries a lot of injuries a lot of injuries. Yeah 99:50 Hmm, I don't know what to make of this 99:53 though the I 99:55 Know that the the fact that the Rams won a Super Bowl flags fly forever 100:00 But Jared golf actually does have a higher win percentage as Ram starting quarterback 100:06 than Matthew Stafford as Rams quarterback. 100:09 So he had, he's won more games than Matthew Stafford, 100:12 both as the Rams say. 100:14 Jared Goff's Rams were better than Matthew Stafford's Rams. 100:17 That's what I'm trying to say. 100:18 Again, I understand you'd have to kind of memory hole 100:22 the hole, winning a Super Bowl thing, but I did that. 100:26 I just did. 100:27 And I made the argument and that's what I'm doing. 100:29 It happened, Jared, better quarterback for the Rams. 100:31 Also, it's only by 1%. 100:33 So I think that if Matthew Stafford wins this game he might be better. That's it. You're going back. Yeah 100:38 Actually, Matthew Stafford was probably ahead of Jared until this season. Mm-hmm. And then the start of this season 100:43 Mm-hmm sunk him below. Yep. Yep. Okay. Got it. Okay last afternoon game 100:49 The Cardinals and Broncos Broncos minus four and a half over under is 43 and a half 100:54 His bow nicks playing for his job. What's that? What's that max move it on? Yeah, this games this games 101:00 There's nothing is bonix playing first job. It is his job to play 101:06 Gotcha. Gotcha. Gotcha. I don't think he's gonna be bench. You think steady 101:11 No, I don't think he's gonna be bench 101:12 But this does feel like a crisis point for bonix with all the conversation. That's how bad they've looked 101:17 That's when bonix is at his best. You're probably right crisis when the words crisis point. Yeah, our utter 101:22 That's when bonix comes through. I mean what's probably gonna happen in this game is 101:26 Knowing both teams the Cardinals are gonna take a big lead like in the first quarter 101:31 Yeah, and then do absolutely nothing in the Broncos 101:34 Let's say the the Cardinals go up 10 nothing in the first quarter and then it gets to 10 3 by halftime 101:41 nothing happens in the third quarter and then 101:44 The Broncos score 14 points in the fourth game over. I 101:49 I just feel like there's been a vibe shift where even Broncos fans are like, yeah, this guy stinks. I 101:55 Think they I think they get it 101:56 They understand the criticism because they're starting to get frustrated, too. 101:59 Right. And Sean Payton, I said, like, yeah, we wanted to run more. 102:03 I really do. 102:04 I think there's a lot of mental that's going on with Bo Nix, 102:08 like, then it is physical. 102:10 I know he just he's coming back from the broken foot. 102:12 But mentally, I feel like he has a little bit of the yips going on. 102:15 Which quarterbacks can get out of? 102:16 So maybe this is the game to get out of the the stat that I look to 102:20 is basically ask yourself this, are the Cardinals going to score 20 or 21 or more points? No, 102:32 they're not. Okay, bonus is 22 and two as a start as straight up as a starter when the 102:38 opponent scores 20 points or less. Okay, love that. So there you go. Take an 18 to six against 102:45 the spread. So that means take the bronze and is going to go off for 150 yards. Yeah, 102:49 two touchdowns and one reception. But that's the formula. Yeah. If you think that the Cardinals are 102:53 going to score more than 20 points, bet the Cardinals. If you think they're going to score 102:56 less than 20 points, bet the Broncos after having like a week to think about it. Do you think that 103:01 Bonix is disrespectful to the position of quarterback? Yes, definitely. No, I don't actually. 103:07 The way he played on Thursday night. Yeah, that play. Yeah, it's not a judgment of him as 103:11 a person. Yeah, it's his play in one game. Yeah, he is 11 and two against the NFC, 103:15 and he averages over two touchdowns a game. 103:18 So this would be the breakout game for Bonix. 103:20 You know what? I'm gonna do that. 103:21 I'm gonna believe in Bonix this weekend. 103:23 The fact you said crisis point. 103:24 It does. 103:25 There's never been two words that... 103:27 You're going too hard on Bonix. 103:28 I'm not. 103:29 If they lose to the Cardinals and he looks terrible, 103:32 Cardinals are a bad team, 103:34 the conversation has already begun 103:36 and it would hit a crisis point. 103:38 At some point, the tide is going to turn 103:40 and everyone's gonna be like, 103:40 oh, Bonix is the best. 103:42 Yeah. 103:43 So that's the same energy. 103:44 Right. 103:44 Mm-hmm. I'm not I didn't lose to that court court. Let's on I'm not saying it's a crisis 103:50 But I'm saying it feels like an embarrassing loss to the Cardinals where they score like let's say 13 points 103:55 Could be would one of Monday's headlines not be 104:00 Is there a crisis in Denver with bone X that absolutely would happen? 104:04 Definitely the headlines yes, but I don't think that they'd make a change 104:08 I 104:09 It wouldn't maybe not make a change right away 104:11 But then the conversations would start because that would be a really bad like he should he should do well against his Cardinals defense 104:17 I think Sean Payton is gonna go down with a ship with both if that if that's how it's gonna go down 104:21 I don't think Sean's making a move and I think the Broncos are really good team like overall 104:26 I think they're a Super Bowl contender way there they play defense and bonus can just figure it out a little bit 104:31 If you could play a little bit better. Mm-hmm. They become a dangerous dangerous team. I'm telling you now 104:36 I'm very I'm gonna bet definitely on the Broncos now. Yeah, I'm gonna probably bet on bonus 104:41 touchdowns, everything, completions, yeah, all of it. All right, last game, Sunday night football, 104:48 great one. Seahawks minus three at home against the Chiefs, over under 42 and a half. I like Seahawks 104:55 here, boys. Love the Seahawks here. I like the Seahawks here. This is 100% of the hungry dog. 105:00 You think there's not going to be a little extra pep in Kenneth Walker's step? Oh, for 105:04 sure there will be, but there also might be a little pep in the other guy's steps too. 105:09 be like, Hey, we got to stop him. He's so good and he's we really wish we had him. Let's 105:13 just hug him extra hard. They're going to just be chasing him to give him to tap him 105:17 up. Yeah. I'll just throw this out there. Chiefs six in a or five in a Patrick Holmes 105:25 looks fine. Yep. Broncos week one. The Broncos had the worst tackling performance I've 105:32 ever seen in my entire life. Absolutely dominated him. Their other wins are Colts Dolphins 105:36 Raiders Chargers. Now Dolphins and Chargers are definitely two of the worst three teams and the 105:44 Colts and Raiders could finish somewhere around there. Just saying kind of similar to the 49ers 105:50 thing where it's like I think both I think the both 49ers and Chiefs are probably the best teams 105:55 in their respective conferences but there's always an equalization point there's always a point 106:00 where it kind of you get back water finds its level I feel like it's Sunday night the Seahawks 106:06 are desperate team. They're three and three. They've lost a couple games that you are like 106:10 head scratchers, you know, the Denver game was a head scratcher. It's like you had that 106:14 game one. Bonix couldn't complete a forward pass and you didn't win that game. I think 106:19 this is where the Seahawks get right. The chiefs have the best point differential in 106:25 the NFL. They have the second few points allowed per game in the NFL. And when 106:30 you look at the schedule that they have played that those both those stats do 106:33 check out yeah the second fuse and the one time that they allowed significant 106:36 amount of points I was against the Colts mm-hmm and the Colts are an over team 106:41 every game they play over right and they they can score so I guess this is we're 106:47 gonna learn a lot about the Chiefs yeah I think the Chiefs are gonna win I do but 106:52 I also think we're gonna learn a lot about him yeah I'm going just this might 106:56 be just a hug I know they're not the Seahawks are not the underdog by the 106:59 So I know you said they're gonna be in the hungry dog. I'm on my mistake. Seahawks are two and a half point favorites. Yeah 107:09 The chiefs will be in the hungry dog. Oh, there we go. Okay, that changes everything. Yeah 107:13 maybe I 107:16 Don't know why I had that wrong my mistake because I do think this is a hungry dogs run faster game for the Seahawks 107:22 Even though they're not technically the dogs 107:24 Like they got to get going, you know, mm-hmm 107:27 It's it's it's kind of now like you're three and three. You don't want to dip below 500 107:33 Chiefs come into town. They've looked perfect 107:36 I just think the taekwondo orton part of it where it's like him being out 107:39 The chiefs not being able to take deep shots now playing against a real defense where you've played some defenses that aren't very good 107:46 That's where it's gonna really hurt. This is when it's gonna finally show up. Hmm. So yeah, I like to see ox 107:52 Okay, any anything else any other any other thoughts? Do we have a fantasy minute? 107:57 We do we do let's go special one. He's excited about this one. Oh, he is. Yeah 108:04 I'm excited me too. I love Jerry. It was really good last week. The funny one was good last week 108:10 Oh, he's he's in the Barstow, New York office 108:15 Okay, let's go Jerry if you had to guess what he's about to do 108:19 I think he might be playing a part of maybe a delivery guy right. Yeah, that's what he also that best looks incredible 108:53 Okay, let's find out 108:56 The fight ensued here, the over-driver got a mounted position on security and boom, boom, boom. 109:01 Gio was like, stop, stop, stop. 109:05 And then, hi guys, how are you? I'm just reenacting. It's my friend. Hey, what's up? 109:10 Um, yeah, Gio was like, stop, stop, stop. Gas came out, hero, some tight gene dude came out. 109:16 No Nicki smokes. Yeah, no Nicki smokes. No Minzi. Okay, let's stream. 109:22 Tommy smoke that's pick up JJ McCartney and let's start 109:32 That does good stuff Jerry 109:34 What did he make the mistake of you say he was he was like can you tell me stuff that happened that I could talk about? 109:41 And I was like well Tommy smokes was nowhere to be found so he said no nicky smokes 109:46 So we got this he got the two smokes brothers mixed up 109:48 We got to get Jerry's good Jerry Jerry's got to come in and stream some games 109:53 on a Sunday or maybe Thursday. That'd be great. It'd be awesome. 109:56 I feel like you should give updates about the fantasy team. Yeah, I don't think we're doing well. 110:00 I saw he made a I don't want to say desperate trade, but he phrased it as desperate. So I'm 110:06 just going off of him. Do you still not have access? No, I'm locked out. He locked out. 110:12 There's a hostile takeover. It's not good. Let me see it. You know what? Let me check. 110:16 check. Let me check some things here. Okay. Yeah, I I would like some updates on how our 110:26 fantasy team is that our fantasy team is doing because it does feel important. I would like 110:33 to win this thing. Hmm. Oh, man, Jerry, Jerry. All right. Yeah, here was fortune favors 110:39 the bold fantasy. He added JJ McCarthy. He dropped Roshan, Roshan Johnson, which 110:46 Didn't he just say stream Roshan Johnson mm-hmm. So we're starting JJ McCarthy this week. Yeah, that doesn't against the Houston Texans 110:54 Okay 110:56 I'm scared hmm not me. Okay. I listen I I give I give my whole I give Jerry a power of attorney for my life 111:07 Hank, what'd you think about that fantasy minute? I 111:11 Didn't like Max criticizing him Jerry's trying his hardest. Yeah. It's a good point. That's a really good 111:15 He really put some effort into that one you always ride with Jerry. I liked it 111:20 He just got that he just said the wrong smokes unless he was just 111:24 Doing a bit unless he was doing a bit of like trying to get them next level. It's next level max 111:30 Jerry might have kicked me out of the group chat, too 111:35 It's either that or some you have sometimes the messages don't pop up immediately. Yeah, I think you probably kicked you out 111:40 That's that's very funny. He might have kicked me. I'm gonna do a deep dive 111:46 The messages pop up instantly. That's very funny. It was good. Good point. One man show one man show. I 115:24 always say stand up is one man show. We never know if I'm any get a stand up. Yeah. I will 115:28 take the over in the Packers line. Okay. Okay. I am going to take the over in Niners Falcons 115:39 forty nine and a half. I'm going to take Chiefs plus three. I'm going to take the 115:45 browns Titans under I like that one I was going back and forth is it is it 115:51 plus three I guess it's my it's minus 102 minus three shit all right I'll do 116:01 see ox minus three I will take the dolphins plus four and a half little 116:09 staff you guys the Jets have been outscored a hundred to six at the end 116:14 the second quarter shut up so no way I like under two minutes I like the dog in 116:19 this spot yeah end of second quarter under two minutes and I'm up again 116:24 correct correct I'll take the over Packers-Lines I already did that dumb 116:30 ass I'll take the under in the Packers-Lines got you all right I'll take 116:39 Ram's Raiders all right into that trap over 48 and a half. We're gonna run this on 120:12 Friday, so the first episode of the step back came out on Tuesday, correct? 120:18 Correct. Okay. So let's start with the step back 120:21 You're very funny. Is this show gonna make me laugh? 120:25 I hope so. I hope so. You know, it's um, I never really hosted a show before so this is um, 120:33 You know, I could use all the pointers to all the help I can get 120:36 I mean, you guys are seasoned vets now. 120:39 Yeah, you should make your more famous friends come on the show right at the start 120:42 and then you can use their names to get you publicity 120:45 and then kind of carry that on through the rest of the show. 120:48 He already did that. 120:49 He had Stavros on the first episode. 120:52 Yes, exactly. 120:53 And Stavi was on the first episode. 120:55 Are you going for laughs or are you trying to make us think Blake? 120:58 Oh, good question. 121:00 I'm actually doing a little bit of both. 121:02 I think there's room for both in sports. 121:04 Um, but yeah, I mean, at the heart of it, like I think we are tackling like bigger issues. 121:10 It's less reactionary. 121:11 It's more, uh, literally taking a step back on bigger issues in sports and, um, yeah. 121:18 So there are some laughs. 121:20 I mean, we've got some, some awesome writers, um, and it's like very much like true like 121:25 late night style. 121:26 Yeah. 121:26 It's a, I watched some of the first episode, the first episodes about sports journalism. 121:31 Um, correct. 121:33 do you have any questions for us about sports journalism where we're sports 121:36 journalists feels like you're kind of taking everyone a task for their takes 121:40 which I think that's that's wrong yeah I have a question where the hell do you 121:46 guys get off well you see Blake yeah we watch the games so we know better than 121:54 you who play in the games what you shouldn't do right I'll tell you what 121:59 What happened, Blake, is somewhere along the line, talking about sports became just 122:03 as much, if not more of a sport, than playing sports. 122:06 Yeah. 122:07 Yeah. 122:08 So, put a jersey on, then talk to me, all right? 122:11 Yeah. 122:12 Yeah. 122:15 Listen, I'm reactionary, too. 122:17 I talk about sports, too, but I also wanted to take a step back and talk about the 122:23 bigger picture. 122:24 Yeah. 122:25 It does make sense. 122:26 And I do think that there's room for both in the last five, six years. 122:31 We've seen like a lot of cutbacks in terms of real sports journalism because guess what? 122:37 Sometimes when you're actually doing journalism, it doesn't get a whole lot of clicks all the 122:42 time. 122:42 Yeah. 122:42 And until we forget a way to package that in a way that like is friendly to the social 122:47 media news feed, it does feel like journalism is a little bit, you know, it's a forgotten 122:52 child. 122:53 Yeah. 122:54 I also think there's just like not as much accountability like not as much credibility not as much accountability now 123:01 and this isn't really like 123:04 This isn't really like 123:06 The whole show is not about journalism. I'm not like just continually harping on sports journalism 123:11 I do see it changing a lot of these topics is like, hey, this is how sports are now 123:16 This is what it used to be. This is what it is now and maybe this is where it could go 123:20 So this isn't really like a show of me just being like, Hey, like I have all the answers. 123:25 It's really like, I don't know, like these are topics that I'm curious about. We have 123:29 a research team. We have a writer's room. So honestly, for me, it's just about like, 123:34 Hey, I'll do the research. We will present you guys with the facts. And then you guys 123:38 make, make the decision for yourself. You know? 123:40 Yeah. So I got a question about sports journalism. Is there a level where like when you 123:46 playing and you see it with Kevin Durant. My quarterback kill Williams, you know, they 123:51 pay attention to a lot of the stuff that's said about them and they use it as motivation. 123:55 But like, was there ever a level when you're playing where you're like to one of your teammates 123:59 like, Hey man, you got to, you got to maybe log off. Like it's too much to like you 124:04 can't consume yourself with everyone's takes or is it like, Hey, every guy gets 124:08 motivated their own way. I might not listen to anything. You might listen to everything. 124:13 What's that balance? 124:14 Yeah, like there's definitely, I've definitely had teammates who like consume everything. I've 124:19 definitely had teammates who block it all out. I was more, because it was like Twitter was like 124:23 brand new when I came in. I like, I kind of first started like reading stuff. And then I would, I 124:29 would sort of tone it down, especially during the playoffs, I deleted every social media thing 124:33 off my phone. But like, some guys can handle it. Some guys can't. And like, once I got to 124:38 know a teammate, I saw a guy one time at his locker at halftime on Twitter, like searching 124:43 his name on Twitter. I'm not going to name names, but this is not a guy who had the capacity to be 124:52 able to do that. To each his own, I don't know. It's like, if you've been dieting and you're 125:00 eating really well, like, hey, yeah, sure. I can go peak and have a little cheat meal 125:05 here and there and be okay and get back on track. But if you have a problem, 125:10 then don't go down that it is a slippery, slippery slope 125:13 and it's a fucking lonely slope. 125:16 Because if you take all that stuff to heart, man, 125:18 like you go home and you'll be sad. 125:20 Yeah, yeah, no, we talk about all the time 125:22 that humans are not built to have people 125:27 have takes on them constantly. 125:30 Like you're not built as a human being 125:33 to like read thousands and thousands of people's opinions 125:37 And it like can mess you up pretty bad. Like we have it all the time 125:40 I struggle with it where it's like you can't read everything. Otherwise, you're just gonna be paralyzed by it 125:45 If you think about it until like 200 years ago 125:48 What was the maximum number of people that knew of one other person's existence? Right? Like I don't know maybe like 500,000 125:54 Yeah, like nobody's brain has evolved to the point where we can handle a million people having something to say about us 126:01 It just doesn't work. Yeah, I mean even even like 126:04 like there's one thing about like pre-social media, 126:07 like, okay, you could read the paper 126:09 and then you kind of got a general idea, 126:10 like, oh, whatever, millions of people 126:12 were watching that Super Bowl game, 126:13 like that's what people are probably thinking, 126:15 but like the constant reminder of every day. 126:19 And like when it's social media, 126:20 like your world, it feels huge. 126:24 Not everyone's talking about this, 126:25 but you're seeing it, it's your algorithm, 126:27 and it feels like the entire world. 126:30 I mean, I've definitely, I've seen like, 126:32 It was crazy. It affects like guys performance. Like why we've seen it 126:37 How many guys we've seen lose confidence and they become a completely different player. Yeah 126:41 Yeah, and a lot of that stems from what people are saying about you 126:44 And I also think like this is one of those things where it was actually, you know 126:49 There's always a conversation especially in the NBA like oh, it was so much easier back then 126:53 This is one of those situations where I do think it was easier where you had a columnist right about you 126:59 But then that calmness probably had to show up to the locker room and it's like the people who had opinions about you had 127:04 This had to be face-to-face with you and you had a relationship with them whether you liked them or not 127:09 Now it's like it's just a bunch of faceless people that you have opinions about you or guys on TV shows 127:15 I mean we're it's us too where it's like we never meet some of the people we talk about that's not totally fair all the time 127:23 Yeah, I don't I don't I think that a lot of times, you know back in the day 127:28 there's beat reporters and there's people, like you said, you have to see them face to face. 127:32 I think it's totally fine to be like critical of players. Like that's completely fair. That's like 127:37 part of the job. But like when it goes past that level, like disrespectful, like that's when I 127:42 actually feel bad for guys. And that's when like the not having to see a guy face to face. 127:48 When you say something like truly disrespectful, like that's when that's that's the disconnect 127:52 because you don't have to see him face to face back in the day. If you said something 127:56 really distract when you have to go into the locker room and interview him face to face and 127:59 put a camera, I mean, put a microphone in his, in his face. Like you're going to think a little 128:05 bit about, you're going to be a little bit more cautious and just maybe just a better journalist. 128:11 Like figure out a way to get your point across without saying something absolutely crazy. 128:15 Yeah. Did you have any rivals in terms of journalists that covered the teams? Like any 128:19 guy that you just didn't get along with? I had people I just didn't like really like 128:24 vibe is, but like, I wouldn't say, uh, yeah, when I got to the clippers, there was a guy 128:29 at the LA Times named TJ Simers. And he was like, I had no clue who he was before I got drafted 128:35 there, but everybody at the clippers was like, Hey, watch out for him. He's going to try to get 128:39 you. He turned out to be a pretty nice guy. He was like kind of an old curmudgeon type sports 128:45 rider who was like kind of always negative, but like, whatever, you know, who cares. And as 128:50 As you get older, you let stuff go much easier. 128:54 If a journalist out there repeatedly called you a loser and never had to see you face to 129:01 face, would that be something that you would get upset about? 129:04 Does that cross that line? 129:06 I wouldn't say calling me a loser is the disrespectful thing. 129:10 I think like, I don't know, I'm trying to think of an instance that like, as I got 129:16 older too, especially like you just become more secure with yourself and you're like, 129:21 you know whether something is warranted or not. And if it's not, you're just like, 129:24 whatever, forget about it. And if it is like, honestly, you kind of take it to heart and you 129:28 kind of makes you better. Yeah. So that's another reason why sports journal, I think people like 129:32 people giving their opinions is totally fine. I think there just needs to be some accountability 129:37 to it. Have you, have you reached out to Steve Ballmer and just see how he's doing? 129:42 I've tried, I've tried. I don't, I thought I must have gotten like a wrong number or 129:48 like the, the satellites must have gotten switched. I don't know if he uses, I doubt he uses like 129:53 AT and tier of horizon or something. He's probably got his own thing. Yeah. Yeah. So maybe I 129:59 check with his IT guy. I don't know if you guys know anybody, but he's, yeah, you should
