Tertiary Minerals MD: 'Fantastic result' as best-yet intersection hits 78g/t AgEq

Tertiary Minerals PLC (AIM:TYM, OTC:TTIRF, FRA:TMU) managing director Richard Belcher spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's latest drilling results, including what he described as its best intersection yet: 121 metres at 78 grams per tonne silver equivalent. Belcher said the standout feature was the extent of mineralisation, running from four metres below surface to around 125 metres vertically, with the hole ending in mineralisation and the grade holding consistent throughout. "It's a fantastic result for us," he said. The latest drilling is also giving Tertiary further insight into the potential depth and scale of mineralisation. Belcher explained that several holes have extended beyond the boundary of the existing exploration target, suggesting scope to expand it, with the company also considering whether mineralisation could continue into underlying sulphide zones. He discussed the combination of strong silver grades and higher-grade copper intervals, with ongoing metallurgical test work set to help clarify the significance of the polymetallic mineralisation. Several drill results remain outstanding. Once released, Belcher said the next step is metallurgical test work, feeding into an updated exploration model as the company works towards defining a mineral resource - a milestone Tertiary remains on track to hit by year-end.
