The Boy Who Was There—and Then Wasn’t | Real Ghost Stories

The first time she saw the little boy standing upstairs, she assumed he was one of her brother’s friends. There was just one problem. Her brother wasn’t home.

Over the next several years, she would occasionally catch sight of the same child elsewhere in the house—standing in a doorway, sitting on the stairs, or simply watching her. He looked completely ordinary, and he never spoke or did anything threatening. He would just appear…and then be gone.

For a long time, she had no way of knowing whether she was really seeing someone or somehow fooling herself.

Then her younger brother asked her a question about the boy that changed everything.

Years later, she would learn that they may not have been the only ones who saw him.
