In this episode, the Brian interviews Neil from the UK about his fascination with Bigfoot and his detailed analysis of the BFRO (Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization) database. Neil shares his journey from a casual interest in the paranormal, sparked by movies like 'Harry and the Hendersons', to a deep dive into Bigfoot data analytics. Utilizing his extensive experience in HR and data analysis, he examines geographical, seasonal, and environmental trends in Bigfoot sightings, highlighting intriguing patterns such as the higher likelihood of sightings in October and on Saturdays. They discuss the reliability of witness reports and the potential influence of pop culture on people's accounts. Neil emphasizes the need for more comprehensive, categorized data and explores the possibility of applying similar analytical models to other regions like the UK. The discussion also touches upon the potential biases in the BFRO data and the underreporting of sightings in other, less formal platforms. Neil concludes by expressing his ongoing interest in expanding his research and creating a statistical model to support the existence of relic hominids in regions like Wales.
