The Making Of Bigfoot

Brian welcomes author and researcher Greg Long to Sasquatch Odyssey for a revealing conversation about his book, The Making of Bigfoot, and the investigation that led him to challenge the Patterson–Gimlin film.Greg traces his research through Yakima and Tampico, Washington, where interviews led him to Bob Heironimus—the man who told Greg he wore the Bigfoot suit.

He shares accounts from Heironimus’s family and other witnesses who reported seeing the costume in a blue Buick, alongside recollections of Roger Patterson that describe a creative man whose honesty those witnesses questioned. The conversation tackles some of the film’s most disputed details: uncertainty surrounding the shooting date, questions about the rapid film-processing timeline, and costume claims involving Philip Morris.

Greg also discusses Clint Patterson’s claim that the suit was later burned, newly discovered footage connected to Norm Johnson’s Boeing lab, and a possible link to Dave Johnson.

With the documentary Capturing Bigfoot bringing these questions back into focus, Brian and Greg examine the testimony, competing accounts, and unresolved details behind one of the most famous pieces of footage ever recorded.

Greg lays out his case for a hoax and encourages listeners to read his book, watch the documentary, and weigh the evidence for themselves.
