J&J Drops, Domino's Falls, and Vans Gains as Piper Sandler, Truist Upgrade Stock
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) shares fall. Johnson & Johnson reported another quarter of anemic sales in its medical technology division, with sales rising just 2.5% in the third quarter. Management are "leaning toward a straight spin" of the orthopedics business as opposed to a sale, according to Chief Financial Officer Joe Wolk.
- Domino's (DPZ) shares fall. Domino’s Pizza Inc.’s US same-store sales grew 0.3% in the third quarter, below the 0.7% Wall Street had expected. The company faces an uphill battle as budget-conscious consumers eat out less and favor chicken amid the “proteinmaxxing” trend.
- Vans (VFC) shares gain after Piper Sandler and Truist Securities upgrade the retailer to buy-equivalent ratings, noting the company’s Vans brand is at an inflection point.
