SK Hynix Lower, PSBC Gains, Bank Central Asia Plunges
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Asian semiconductor stocks tumbled again Monday, as DeepSeek’s latest model sparked concerns over demand for chips, compounding market fears over AI financing. A Bloomberg gauge of Asian chipmakers slid more than 2% to the lowest since July. The biggest drags included South Korea’s SK Hynix.
- Chinese banks and macro plays benefited from China’s growth accelerating more than expected in the third quarter, boosting the odds of the economy reaching Beijing’s annual target and dimming the prospects for additional easing measures.
- Indonesian stocks continued to plunge even as the country narrows its limit down and companies start buying back shares.
