SpaceX Falls, Eli Lilly Jumps, Davita Slides as US Dialysis Revenue Misses Estimates
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- SpaceX (SPCX) shares fell after the company disclosed higher-than-expected spending on its artificial intelligence business. The company’s capital expenditures soared to $28.5 billion in the first half of the year, with the vast majority of expenditures steered toward AI. SpaceX generated $3.38 billion in revenue from artificial intelligence during the first six months of the year, less than half what its connectivity business brought in during that span.
- Eli Lilly (LLY) shares jump. Eli Lilly & Co. boosted its 2026 sales guidance after its weight-loss drug franchise performed far better than expected in the second quarter. Sales for the year are forecast to be between $85 billion and $87 billion, with second-quarter adjusted earnings and revenue beating Wall Street estimates.
- Davita (DVA) shares slide. The kidney dialysis center operator reported weaker-than-expected US dialysis revenue. The firm also reaffirmed its full-year guidance, with the midpoint of the guidance fell below Wall Street’s expectations.
