Tractor Supply Mixed, Lockheed Martin Rises, P&G Gains as Price Plan Spurs Sales
On this episode of Stock Movers:
-Tractor Supply (TSCO) shares are mixed. Tractor Supply Co.'s same-store sales grew in the third quarter, with comparable sales rising 0.4% from a year earlier. The company's actions around value, pet, digital and convenience gained traction in the quarter, according to Chief Executive Officer Hal Lawton. Tractor Supply reported a gross margin of 36.4%, down from 37.4% a year ago, and reaffirmed its full-year guidance, with comparable sales growth seen unchanged or declining 1%.
-Lockheed Martin (LMT) shares rise. Lockheed Martin Corp. lifted its full-year outlook as the company’s missile systems portfolio was buoyed by rising global defense spending. The company now expects adjusted 2026 earnings of $30.35 to $30.75 per share, up from a range of $29.95 to $30.65. The US Defense Department plans to buy at least 850 additional F-35 fighter jets, and Lockheed was awarded contracts to increase production of its Patriot missile and THAAD interceptor.
-Procter & Gamble (P&G) gains as sales and profits beat Wall Street expectations, driven mostly by improved sales volumes. Organic revenue rose 4% in the first quarter, the fastest growth in three years, suggesting P&G's limited price hike strategy is still drawing more consumers. P&G maintained its full year sale and profit targets, but expects more volatility in the quarters ahead due to high fuel and energy costs and elevated input expenses.
